Of the music and movie kind obviously
After a couple of threads re 90s music and movie soundtracks was just thinking about all the dvds and cds I own.
Do people still buy them? I have a pretty big selection of both and I do often grab a cd and listen to it while driving |

I've no dvds left in the house but I've cds up in the attic. Some collectors editions and ones I just can't part with. They come with to many memories. I've vinal here that I just love listening to. Its the crackle, I love the sound of vinal  |

I have a collection going right back to Dire Straights...Brothers in Arms
I also made about 40 greatest hits cds for my car over the years mixed on my computer
Got a new car last year with no cd player but spotify built in so haven't listened to a cd since

I got rid of all of mine and went digital a couple of years ago.
Though still have some rare dance CDs that I have for sale on discogs.
Be careful with CDs as they don't age well, no matter how well you look after them.
I still have quite a bit of vinyl and kept one of my technics turntables.
I love nothing more than a lazy Sunday listening to vinyl.
Sadly they are all still in storage in France but I should have them back again shortly and I actually plan to buy some more vinyl.
Discogs again is a fantastic site for anyone looking to buy any music format |

Have easily 1000 DVDs and a surround sound system but it must be at least 4 years since I last watched one.
Not a big music fan at all but have 100+ vinyl records including a few originals from the 1950's and 60's.
Used to have a handful of CDs in the car but I don't listen to music when I'm driving anymore. |

I think advancing technology, means that we dont need to buy them anymore .
Music went from ,records,to tapes, to CD, to spotify
Movies from cinema, to video, to dvd,to Netflix ,,its a shame really,,used to spend hours in record shops,flicking through album's
Still have hundreds tapes/CDs in my attic,,all the way back to my first tape I bought "ABC"The lexicon of love,,hahaha |

I'm constantly making playlists. I've running ones, gym ones, bop around the house ones, every emotion ones. I love rediscovering old music and finding the odd new tune I like. |

Changed over to digital about 10 years ago.. buy download wav files now..
Sold my equipment, mixer turntables and stereo system.
Kept my controller to make mixes for the car and my phone..
