A romantic liaison between two people
A meeting of two adults for a laugh and drinks or maybe just a night out for dinner
A planned meet for getting ur kit of and shagging like bunnies till ur raw
Who ever said dates were just to pick a life partner |

It could be all of the above really. Depending on who you are meeting and what you agreed on.
I wouldn't consider meeting someone off here for a social a date tho.And I've never been on a dating site so I can't talk if it would be one of you meet from them .
I have never been on what a 'traditional' date which to me is going out with someone for a night or a meal and chat in the hope of a relationship. All my real life relationships seem to have been ones I more or less fell into after the other person and I have hung around in the same group of people. |

To me, a date is something with a relationship element to it - real or potential. In the fab context, we do social meets, sex meets, and sometimes social meets that turn into sex meets, we don't do "dates" |

It's the culmination of flirting, talking and expectation for whatever period of time preceeding it. By the time a date comes around 80% of the foreplay is completed.. If the chemistry is there, its distilled into physical pleasure and what you would hope is incredible sex. |

"I think it could be all of the above. It just depends on who you are meeting. "
And how much you've spoken to them too I think... Get to know them as much as you can |

Personally I don't consider a NSA meet as a date.
A date is an occasion with someone you either see a future with or want to see the possibility of one.
Or at the very least are willing to do more than one coffee social before the sexy bits |

A date could be anything you have mentioned, CJ.
It really depends on both people, their expectations, fantasies ()
It may lead to a strong friendship or just being friends with benefits - all to be decided by both parties
Or just once off meet as there us no chemistry, no similar interests, etc
It also could end with once off sex and both people decided not meeting again
Lots of scenarios, CJ

"A distant memory
Summat folk used to do before 2020"
This, lol
For me a date is a planned and arranged outing, where two people get to know eachother, to determine compatibility and chemistry.
If you're already seeing that person, it's about spending time together outside the bedroom or the daily grind, making time for eachother as people, to have fun and a laugh and keep the chemistry alive. |

Dates are the fruit of the date palm which grows in many tropical regions of the world.
Almost all dates sold in Western countries are dried.
Dates are chewy with a sweet flavor. They are high in some important nutrients . |

I guess a date is a relative term, like the Schroedinger's cat..
I think both people have certain expectations out of the date, frequently diametrically opposed, and if negotiations are successful, common interests are pursued |

A lot on here call first meet, a date.
A first meet is to establish connection and verify that the other person is genuine.
A date is something that you go on with the potential to develop into something more with commitment.
I understand people who mix the two up and think nothing of it but I would always point it out just for clarity sake. |
