Free at-home STI testing scheme
Jump to: Newest in thread
Hi all, just a heads up the the HSE is reopening the sh24.ie scheme for phase 2 tomorrow.
The scheme offers free at home STI testing to all via its website sh24.ie. The test kit screens for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, syphilis and HIV.
I got the test kit last time and it was convenient, discreet and super fast. I'd 100% recommend it! |

Good to know! Used to get tested very often but obviously can't wait the pandemic. I did get a free at home one in September too. Very easy to use
Thanks for the heads up

"Is this available countrywide? It looks to be just in certain areas?"
Pilot is Dublin, Cork and Kerry with a view to expanding based on how the trial goes. |

"You have to have sex in order to run the chance of getting a sti or needing a test. "
Right now is actually a great time to get tested for this reason!
They advise you wait 3 months from exposure to be tested for blood borne infections like HIV, hepatitis and syphilis. |
