Hey All,
So I was just thinking how long have you known your best friend for and what duo would you consider your relationship to be most similar to?
I've known my best friend since we were 7 and 8 (he's older) years old. There's nothing this guy doesn't know bout me and probably knows me more than I do myself, I love him and would do anything for him. I would say our relationship is 100% like JD and Turk from Scrubs. One guess which which one I am! Haha
He's cool, I'm more of a nerd although not a bright one
The ladies love him, I'm more of an acquired taste, haha.
The list does go on but if you've watched Scrubs you get it!
Anyways let us know about yours |

I've never seen Scrubs so have no idea what the dynamic is but I don't have what I would class as long term friends. I gave up making the effort with schoolfriends a few years after we left school as it was a one way friendship.
I have work colleagues that I've known for years but we don't socialise and only see each other once in a blue moon.
I have a few good friends but I don't know any of them more than 7 or 8 years and some less than 2 and I trust them completely.

I have two best friends that I would trust with my life and likewise. One I have known 28 yrs and the other 37 years, a lifetime really. We know each others everything. Support each other and have been through everything together.
Would have to relate ourselves to the classic "Sex and the City" and they have always related me to Samantha (no idea why!! ), the girls I would have to relate one of them the Charlotte and the other....well, we have got into a lot of "trouble" together so she would be a Samantha too.
Wouldnt change either of them for the world.

I have two friends from secondary school that we are very close (incredibly we have never had an argument or tension once in all the years), and 4 friends from college that are great friends.... But that being said i got to know a neighbour last year quite well and we get on like z house on fire... Great friends can happen at any stage in life and I certainly don't believe I can meet new people just cos I didn't go school with them... Sure don't we all meet great people on here!! |

I'm lucky I have a handful of great friends none are from when I was in school or young .
My closest and best female friend I have known almost 30 years and she has been there for me through thick and thin .
I have some close and amazing friends who I have met in recent years and I'd trust them more than people I have known for a lot longer.
Other friends I have known for years and may not seen them for a year or so but when we see each other again it's like we never were apart .

I have had two friends who knew me better than I do.
Both of them met in Primary school, so long friendship.
He lives in NZ, she moved to Taiwan and died 5 years ago in the car accident.
We always supported each other.
Im really missing both of them
Im having a few really good friends in Ireland, and we understand and support each other, no matter what.
Having a good friend is a bliss. |

Ive some very very close girlfriends but my oldest bestie is my ex. We know each other 30 years - through all sorts of adventure; crazy parties, first gigs and festivals, travelling abroad, housemates, parenting, marraige and seperation.
He is the most supportive, non-judgemental, understanding friend you could ask for!

Hubs is mine. I learned the hard way a very long time ago when i shared personal things with so called friends and they talked about me behind my back and basically said they werent interested in my problem yet i had listened to all theirs and offered advice. I wont make that mistake again and as a result i have an incredibley small circle of friends but ill never let anyone get close to me again. |
