Hey guys, just looking for advice I suppose. Im a single guy looking for couples and gals right, i only get onto fab between the daily tasks of living. Im verified etc. I copy and paste when trying to meet new people as sometimes you could send out 10/15 messages and get nothing back, some people get annoyed over copy and paste though. I never want to offend anyone but it just seems handier no? |

I've copied and pasted a reply to problem someone else was having. Hope it helps?

Depends whats in the message. I've had copy and paste messages that were obviously sent to a couple. As in " hi guys, " or a long message saying what the guy would like to do.
Copy and paste messages give an impression of been lazy and just chancing your arm that out of 15 messages one might reply and it that you haven't looked at the profile.
I prefer a message that might comment on a pic or something I've posted on the forums |

I've had a few copy and paste messages even some who send the same message several times .
Does me bother me? not particularly as in one way I can see why guys do it .But it also doesn't make me feel the need to reply to them.Id it's a well thought out message to start then I usually reply even if it's a thanks but no thanks.
I've had one guy who actually forgot to change the name of another woman in his greeting . |

When it's very obviously copied and pasted I think a lot of women would ignore it. You may also have shot yourself in the foot by letting everyone know you do it too. |

Question for the ladies... how can you tell it's a copy 'n paste message? Is it as simple as the message being general and not commenting on anything specific about your profile? We find it hard sometimes to distinguish |

I think you should approach it the same way you would when applying for a job. You could take the scatter gun approach of blindly sending a generic CV everywhere. This is not very effective and most end up in the bin, but if you send out enough CVs, you may eventually get a hit.
Or you could spend time researching and focusing on specific jobs you are interested in. You can start with the same copy paste template CV which includes details that dont change like your name, location, interests etc, but spend time on your cover letter. Why this particular job interests you and why you should be a suitable candidate.

"There's a next level to copy pasted messages too:
They message, you reply, conversation going nowhere and naturally dies off, a week later they send you the original copy pasted message again "
Oh love them ones , I screenshot and send it back |

To OP- I understand where you're coming from with copy pasting (supposed to be efficiency), but in reality- there's an actual human being behind every profile.
Treat them like individual human beings, put in the effort and you'll not be stuck.
P.s. "Can accommodate" statuses don't really work that well on people who are sane |

You cant really go wrong with personalising a message.
I know for a fact I love when I get a message about a particular photo, or something on my profile.
Messages dont have to be long, a paragraph, interesting and unique.
Follow the 3 U's Rule of thumb!
#1 Unique
#2 Ultra Specific
#3 Useful

Might be seen as lazy though, not exactly desirable in a potential sexual encounter. |

People you're already talking to- yes, they will want to know that.
Status updates with scheduled accommodation availability is telling me that you're very highly likely attached. |

Copy and paste in our opinion is a bit like throwing shit at a wall and seeing what sticks.... |

It can be very easy to spot when you are sent the exact same message 3 times! |

That’s a give away alright...dopey guy obviously.. I wouldn’t like to receive a copy and paste to be honest.. your shouting to a room and nobody in particular by doing that and it’s saying more about you negatively that you couldn’t be bothered with making the effort.. OP my advice would be don’t send so much mails and personalize the ones you do... I’m not that successful but most appreciate that your trying to get to know them and your respectful |

The definition of lazy: receiving a copy and paste, 1-word 'hi' message 3 times
Yes, we have gotten those |
