What are your predictions for "Covid Endgame"?????
My prediction
I saw yesterday some posts of people that have had a very bad time and I think I think they need a dose of optimism.. By this summer or August at the latest we will be back in business as normal. Maybe even sooner.
This will be due to the Bassests all-sorts of Vaccines and if you combine that immunity with those of the population already infected. You will get to that juicey 60-70% heard immunity pretty sharpish. Most importantly those at risk will have had the vaccine already. |

My guess..
By late summer the only restrictions in place will be face masks in public areas, limited number of people in shops and restaurants and most likely travel and quarantine restrictions for those who are not vaccinated yet or won't take a vaccine.
Outbreaks will be dealt with at a local level with any public health measures
A normal christmas with no restrictions
Booster shots in advance of any holidays next year and some sort of vaccine passport linked to you're own passport |

normality for me to some extent resumes when weather picks up, 5 k restriction and gathering restrictions or not. I'll be having BBQS and drinks in gardens, kayaking in the sea, playing golf, gaa will be back and other sports. fuck lockdowns. enough is enough. |

My bet: 
Mid March (15% FD vaccinated)- 5km restrictions moved to 10km
Late March (20% FD vaccinated) - schools fully opened and most hospital services restored
April (35% FD vaccinated) - restrictions moved to within county
May (55% FD vaccinated, 20% SD vaccinated)- restrictions lifted on some outdoor activities and gatherings (no large gatherings for matches or concerts). Pubs and restaurants opened but still with restrictions based on 90 minutes stay and reduced number of people at one time.
June (75% FD vaccinated, 40% SD vaccinated)- restrictions lifted for indoor events under 500 people and outdoor events for people under 1000 people
July (100% FD vaccinated, 60% SD vaccinated)- travel across island permitted with no restrictions. Indoor mask wearing still required
August(100% SD vaccinated): restrictions lifted on restaurant time limits and number of people. Phased return of nightclubs with restrictions on numbers.
November - International travel to counties on green list for those with vaccine passports allowed. Rapid antigen testing as part of check in and boarding. Masks remain requirement on flights.
December - Normal Christmas as population fully vaccinated, only restrictions remain in place is travel to and from countries not on green list for vaccine threshold

Late October earliest things will START to normalise, there will be at least two more lockdowns in place by then, especially if the comedy of the lockdown protestor contiues. Its at times like this it'd be good to be in a Totalitarianism cause people can't be trusted to do what's right for others. If eveyone just stayed the fuck in for a month we'd probably have the same situation as NZ, being able to go where we wanted. Small price to pay.
Hilarious that people are protesting to something they are contributing to the continuation of. Basically protesting a virus no one has control over. To think the Government want to see people in lockdown, to have not much business going on, no tourism.....to destroy the economy. Of course they've not helped either cause of things like the isolation of people in a hotel coming into the country should have started by at LEAST last Summer. Shoulda started a slow wind down of comings and goings into the country when the first case hit Europe. That's when I started taking precautions anyways limiting my socialisation and such, anyways next Summer I'd say would be the best shout of proper normality......unless we have someone press the button, or there's a zombie apocolayse, or the monkeys say "Enough is enough, time to move over!" |

So that's JollyLolly down for October getting 5:2 odds on that.. and also hinting at summer 2022...I would say 20:1 odds it being that late.
Although the government and EU's slow rollout is giving me a bit of concern. But still on for Summer latest August. When Infected(estimated) + vaccinated =
60%-80% that will = time of normalization |

Did hear on something the other day....could b another surge in autumn/winter. I guess possible with all the new variants coming out....tbh I just said fck this shite and turned tv off. This is getting harder. Mentality. Emotionally and financially. 4 jobs in last yr and none furloughed.  |

Unless the varients change the structure of the viral binding site it won't matter. Compared to say standard times where viruses were not attacked in such an organized fashion things had time to change significantly. But the consorted effort by the world would most likely leave it little chance.
Also from the recent Icelandic study on Antibodies if infected people.. I think 30,000 people subjects.. it showed a death rate of 0.3% (I know I said 0.2% early on.. and moved to 0.2-0.3% at some point). So on the worst year possibly that's x3 flu. So that's 3000 max for ireland. I guess when the deaths caused by lack of cancer screenings and things like that exceed the amount of people you save it dosent add up to keep locking down. I also read a rather depressing thing that the average life expectancy of a person in a home is 8-13 months. Which were the people whom ever failed the most, and left isolated for 12 months. Anyway I'd be shocked and will shut my face if we are inockdowns or anything similar to this by then. |

I think most places will be open by September including pubs, restaurants, cinema's but with restrictions (what they are who knows). Still a choice of working from home. Public transport will be nearly back to normal. And next winter we will still have to wear masks in shops, public transport, crowded streets because of the fear of a variant. |

Okay so Vaccines did infact get messed up but I would say we still on track for my bet to be accurate. I am looking forward to the all that new cryptocurrency "Fabcoin" to be in my possession.
