Since it doesn't look like anyone will be getting away to the sun this year and we won't have to switch airplane mode on our phone for a big longer ....lets share the memories or times we just made an eejit of ourselves on our first foreign holiday

Went on holidays on my own with no knowledge of sunscreen, what factor to use or how often to reapply.
Got second degree sunburn everywhere on my first day. Could only leave the hotel after sundown.
Lost my wallet on the last night, but luckily my hotel gave me back a €50 deposit when I checked out, so I had cash for transport to/from the airport. |

It wasn’t my first holiday but I was in Vietnam a few years ago and was travelling onto the states afterwards. The US had just introduced the ESTA form which I knew nothing about and I wasn’t left on the plane so had to check back into hotel, try and fill out the form and book new flights for the next day. Not a happy camper |

Got totally shitfaced on my first night in tenerife when i was 19, got seperated from my mates because i was chasing tail and couldnt find my way back to my hotel, all the hotels looked the same, decided to sleep on a bench and was woken by two police officers around 8am with both my phone and wallet missing |

Mine was ibiza 99.. sun sand sea and bangin' tunes..
Lazing by the pool the morning after the night before..
Crashed a moped with my wife on the back that year.. No damage to us just bad bruising.. moped was repairable.. had to pay moped rental £100 for damages or get arrested.. small print said insurance null and void with pillon passenger.. great holiday. Went back 4 times after that. |

First time away was to Corfu. Went with a friend. A couple of weeks before we arrived a girl was murdered in the same resort. Got to our room and only had a double bed. Didnt mind sharing but one night she took a bloke to the room and left me sitting outside on a wall. Was well past 2 in the morning and 2 creepy men came and sat with me....wouldnt leave me alone and I lost it. Went to our room and gave off heaps. Dont lose my temper often but I just saw red. |

First girls holiday in 1989 to Gran Canaria. Tidied the borders of the lady garden with Immac (as it was called back in the day) and got the most horrendous chemical burns. Spent two days spreadeagled naked from the waist down on the bed in the apartment with my bits slathered in Sudocrem til the burning died down. Mortified. |

Spain with a mates family brilliant holiday was 16 or 17, pulled one night up the next morning down at the pool my mates mother nearly dropped "what happened your back" didn't have a clue what she was on about soon copped on tho "fell in the bushes" |
