Good Morning all
Miss Lolly shared a handy tip this morning about not deleting friend requests and it made me wonder are there any other little tips people have to share for example for managing mail, pics, profiles or privacy here on Fab. |

A very simple one and it really shouldn't need to be said. For lads whinging about lack of replies. Read the bloody profiles.
I don't message women on here all that often. However...
If I see a page that says they're looking for men 40+, I don't message... because I'm not over 40.
If I see a page that says they're looking to play with women only, I don't message, because I'm male...
If they are in the west of Ireland and only want to meet local people, I don't message because... well you get it by now |

Agreed. Right up to the point where they share your private pics and messages with others. |

Pick a day when you are feeling super confident and emotionally strong then get all the rejections done and dusted in one go
Just rip that plaster right off and then the rest of the week is all gravy |

Sometimes I put my profile private for that break. but i didnt realise it looks like ive blocked people so thats unfortunate. id love if there was a feature where you could make the public profile invisible but friends could still see it.

They can still see your profile on their friends list, they just can't click on it and view |

"Those who want to gossip about others will do the same to you. Avoid, avoid"
Remember if they casually share personal information about others in a group, Then they would easily share about you as quick. So be mindful about what you say. |

I'm not in any groups for that reason alone. |

We all get messages insulting our profiles, our photos and our likes and dislikes. Great advice I got was don't feed into these people because if you do you enable them. Ignore them and don't let them see it bothers you. If they don't get a reaction then they will just move on. |

I think what's meant here is chat groups as in kik groups. |

The group mailbox is handy, it just groups mails from a person into one thread instead of individual messages.
You have less congestion in your mailbox and it's easy to see when that person mailed you last. |

Once you change over it just stays like that. I think you can revert back if you don't like it to old style. |

Beware who you share face pictures with (one of the reasons we avoid the face pic Friday threads like a plague)
Avoid the people with egos
If you are worried about your name being known use a name similar to your real one.
Never give people your last name
Never delete winks as it stops people sending them (only lasts a month but better then constant winks from the same people)
Don't get involve in other people's drama as you may get dragged into it unknowingly. |

Ideally a balance of trust and scepticism is best.
But speaking from experience, its best not to trust anyone therefore you avoid the inevitable disappointment |

"Block anyone who puts up "bored" as a status
Or fill in later
Or here before..know the score "
The later drives us mad...with the added line if anyone knows me verify me.
Not trying to single out males bit we have found them most guilty of it
If you "know the score" , you surely know a one line profile won't get you far..rant over

Write a half decent “thanks but no Thanks” message and copy and paste it to anyone who’s made an effort to write a nice message but you aren’t interested in. Then block them and delete it. That way you don’t burn bridges and at least you know yourself you aren’t a raging c*nt.
If you get a message you like and you want to reply but don’t have time, mark it as unread to remind you to reply later.
Your profile being hidden looks different to your profile blocking someone. You can put up an update and friends can see “taking a break” if they look jn their friends list.
Loads of others but you’ve gotten great tips here. |
