Tom Brady is overrated and nothing without his offensive line.
Let's not forget deflategate and that Brady was fined and suspended after that whole scandal.
There are better athletes across more popular sports deserving of the title.

I love American football and have watched/followed since I was in primary school, which wasn't yesterday. So I say this with the greatest respect, catch yourself on, there's no way on God's green earth that any American footballer could be counted as the best 'athlete' across all disciplines. Even inside his own sport most pundits but Brady second behind Jerry Rice. |

Op, are you some sort of Brady promoter? Is he paying you for your staunch defence of his claim to goat?
It's one sport among many, impossible to compair across disciplines and to be honest what is he actually good at anyway? Throwing a ball of air down a field or like Lewis or Schumacher driving really fast around in circles. Yes it's impressive compared to other mear mortals but at the end of the day it achieves very little for humanity on the grand scale of things.
Sport is meant to be fun, something to enjoy and a bit of escapism, so please chill and enjoy his achievements as a fan and I hope you have a nice day  |

What's the most popular sport played and viewed on the planet. Soccer I reckon, we even have a World Cup Tournament with countries from around the globe.
So I would put pele, messi,Maradona, cruyff et al well ahead of Brady.
At that I'm not even a soccer fan but I recognise that American Football is limited to pretty much one country |
