I agree with you on this 100 per cent. It has happened to a friend of mine on here before and it was horrible.
And those who veri them should be removed as well.
Usually you can spot the fakes especially the reoccurring ones. And some use well known profile's pics as well. How do they think they will get away with it for long. Sadly tho sometimes nothing is done. |

You can tell them a mile off and one or two messages usually confirms they are fake... report, block, move on. Only problem i see is when a profile after it was been taken down was back the next day same pic and username and same time wasting!! |

Thats why Im using the chatroom to see who is behind the profile (it seems lots if couples even well verified only male is on fab, female took a break)
Video, live photo or cam in the chatroom.

I just had that happen to me yesterday and today...Someone stole a pic from my photo gallery and posted it on their Fab profile. I found it in the hot pics as I was scrolling through them...I had to do a double take. Then I took a screen shot of that pic and a screen shot of my own on my profile and they were identical.
So, I asked nicely that my pic be removed from her profile. Then, she sent me 2 threatening abusive msgs and then blocked me. I’ve done nothing to this woman. No need to be nasty.
I just now discovered from several people, that she has several fake profiles and that some of the other pics on her profile are stolen from the internet.

However I've been told just cause its available on the Internet doesn't mean that the person using it isn't that person. So it seems quite a lot of American models are on fab |

There's a man / woman that's sole ambition seems to be to get number 1 in the hot pics
Has done it a few times now and still hanging around the top 20
They get reported but until they make a mistake with their choice of picture they don't get deleted.

You go on kik talk to a guy pretend u a women say cant send selfies my phone dosent work talk to them for half hour then ask for a verification and u get one in return . If verifications are hiding they have something to hide. Im on fabs 10 years i can smell a fake profile from miles away |

My pics have been attached to abusive messages to women by other men. They've also been sent in opening messages to women who have called them out on it and then got abusive messages in return.
All from profiles who are active in the forums. |

More and more fake profiles are appearing here all the time. It was discussed in the lounge this week about active forum people actually having multiple accounts. Like why bother its hard enough to manage one at times. Eventually these fake profiles trip themselves up by forgetting which account they are using. They then become easier to spot by certain things they say or do . |

When I first joined here and wasn't verifed for almost a year. I'd numerous men offer to verify me without even seeing me . So it's very easy if you want. |

They're bored and decide to create chaos in the forums from the fake account and sometimes even answer in the thread using their main pfofile

Seems to be very common now , but Fab is not what it used to be , when I joined it wasnt as popular and was more real, more people have a profile now than facebook lol Its a victim of its own success |

I used to use a well known messaging app used by us swingers to get a live photo. But a couple of weeks ago one verified profile was being very shady about sending a live photo. Eventually they did but that "live" photo was exactly the same as one he sent to another Fab friend. Turns out you can use a app to fake a live photo and just choose from your camera roll. So yes it's very easy now to get verified on here. So really who is real anymore here! |

Yep someone set up a fake profile using one of my pics just before christmas. It was put in the same county as us so came up in our local updates straight away.

That happened to me as well he had just put them up in the last 6 months before I met him but were from years ago. I wouldn't consider someone doing that a fake as such but definitely someone meeting under false pretences. His answer when I said it to him was well it's still me. Except he was nothing like his pics anymore and never even hinted any different either before we met. |

Ours are new too and nothing in our public gallery is older than December. Can understand keeping favourite and older pictures on a profile, as long as they are consistent with the person who turns up. Also, If a picture is uploaded in Jan 2021 then it really should have been taken in Jan 2021 and not During the George W. Bush presidency era

I have a small circle of friens on fab. And a decent filter process. But yea the fakes are abundant. But in saying that, i couldnt help but feeling a lil big headed if someone was using my pic. Believe me i know they aint |

If someone could send on some of these fakes much appreciated. I've noticed a huge amount recently. Took a break for a while from focus etc ,came back and the amount are ridiculous. Mostly cam veri, some are genuine some definitely aren't. And very similar bio. Owned by in a lot if them and nearly ever veri is known this person for a while now. Nearly always the opening line. |

Photo verification is basically use to disguish between man and woman. If a pic verifies woman puts up fake photos, then they will be allowed as most fab photos are not face pics. |

Behind every fake profile is a real person.
Some are brazen enough to chat on the forums every day and even start threads with their well verified and "genuine" profiles and then suit up as their alter ego when the mood takes them.
Then again it's not always what you know but who you know.

Because some are actual profiles and have real veris from people they have met and therefore aren't technically fake profiles.
They just like to borrow stuff now and again and forget to leave it back and they hope no-one notices. |

I wonder does the site allow the fake profiles stay on sometimes if its not reported by a certain number of other profiles
And its no harm to have more " women " on the site
to attract more men.
Certain men on here that use the forums have either used pictures from porn sites or robbed other mens pictures
When reported they're allowed stay with just their own original picture...why are they not thrown off the site or even lose their site supporters privileges completely |

This is just rife on here at the moment! I’ve been using this site over 5 years now and never experienced the volume of fake profiles (or worse impersonating profiles)
I’ve just turned on pretty much all of the filters to try and block out as many as possible from contacting and wasting time |

I am known here and have been verified by some of you well known forum users so obviously I've reported and Blocked him. Well I have met you and you are definitely real. And as stunning as your pics which are actually you on your profile. Who has the time to run a load of profiles anyhow. One is more than enough.
Usually the people who accuse people of this are people who have either been told that you aren't interested in them or haven't had you read their messages I have found. They think by saying this it will be a way to get you to chat or a way to just wind you up and upset you.A lot of the time it is someone just trolling and looking for a reaction off you especially when they can't even give any details of the so called profiles if they give details then that is different most of the time.
Funnily enough a lot that do this and claim a well veried profile is fake is usually a basic blank profile as well. Best thing to do is block and ignore and not give them another thought.
It would be tough on someone new though who gets accused and is real. |

Anyone who's lucky enough to know you knows you're a superstar
In general though blocking is one thing but it's much easier said than done to just move on I imagine; it's not a nice thing to have happen to anyone, to say the least!
There are undoubtedly fake profiles on Fab but people do need to consider the knock-on effect of accusations. There are safeguards in place and actions available to deal with such things; being nasty isn't one of them |
