Just a continuation from the last thread!
This weeks recommendation is from myself as I don't want to run through all of those who've sent theirs on too quickly!
I'm sure some have seen it before but it's a classic! Once more it's available to stream
--------------------
'American Psycho'
Starring: Christian Bale, Reece Witherspoon and Jared Leto
- "A wealthy New York City investment banker, Patrick Bateman (Christian Bale), hides his alternate psychopathic ego from his co-workers and friends as he delves deeper into his violent, hedonistic fantasies"

"Should we do a thread on how to pirate? Netflix has about as much selection as tin of biscuits 3 years out of date."
There are site rules against posting links with only a few websites deemed OK so best to not mention anything like that or post any just in case
If anyone is interested in watching one of the recommendations but needs help sourcing it then don't be afraid to ask someone; I'm sure there's plenty of friendly film buffs willing to send a message |

Brett Easton Ellis wrote the book based on the same Motivations Nabokov did when he sat down and scribed Lolita. Both in their published time seriously controversial. Both were motivated by writing through difficult subject matter....and asking themselves...can I write this without personal empathy. They both did...
Go on the honest writers of the world. Artists are great in Foz's opinion.
Opinion about the film OP asked?...Not as good as the book. But great question OP. |

**SPOILERS**
Has anyone seen last week's recommendation? Even those that may have seen it before, what do you think?
I'm always torn over what I think was 'real' and what was in his head. I know the book may differ on interpretations but what about the film?
The real estate agent always unsettles me! |

Whats it about?"
Five years after the end of the Civil War, Capt. Jefferson Kyle Kidd crosses paths with a 10-year-old girl taken by the Kiowa people. Forced to return to her aunt and uncle, Kidd agrees to escort the child across the harsh and unforgiving plains of Texas. However, the long journey soon turns into a fight for survival as the traveling companions encounter danger at every turn -- both human and natural. |

That'll do so! Not a genre I particularly enjoy but all about trying new things!
This week's recommendation comes from Yoser and is available on Netflix!
---------------------
'News of the World'
Starring: Tom Hanks and Helena Zengel
- "A Civil War veteran (Tom Hanks) agrees to deliver a girl, taken by the Kiowa people years ago, to her aunt and uncle, against her will. They travel hundreds of miles and face grave dangers as they search for a place that either can call home" |

Watched it over the weekend, perfectly watchable and Hanks as likeable as ever, but nothing spectacular, the child actor is excellent. Not a must watch but if you have the time... |

" Not a must watch but if you have the time..."
Unfortunately it’s all I have at the moment....
Tom Hanks movies not so hot on my recommendations after rambling about how great Forrest Gump is... rewatching it and realising it wasn’t that great after all....
American Psycho... Christian Bale is yet to disappoint. Among the best is his trade in my opinion.

This weeks recommendation is from Inquisitive Lady and is available to watch from Sky 'On Demand'!
For anyone who may be unable to watch it this way, I'm sure there are Fabbers willing to reach out and help if needed
-------------------------
'Richard Jewell'
Starring: Paul Walter Hauser, Olivia Wilde and Sam Rockwell
- "Based on a true story Richard Jewell (Paul Walter Hauser) is a security guard who discovered a bomb at Centennial Olympic Park during the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. He was seen as a hero by many but a suspect by the FBI and press" |

Watched 'Richard Jewell' over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it!
Felt a bit ignorant in that I didn't know the full story beforehand, with it being based on true events, but I think that made me get a bit more emotionally invested in it
Will definitely watch that 'News of the Word' this week too, owe myself that with all the good recommendations so far |

Apologies for the late post!
I was thinking a nice change of pace is needed again, something easily watched that'll hopefully cause a few laughs, so I decided upon a comedy!
So this week's recommendation is from myself and is available on Netflix!
-------------------------
'Beerfest'
Starring: Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan and Cloris Leachman
- "Two brothers travel to Germany for Oktoberfest only to stumble upon a secret, centuries-old competition described as a "Fight Club" with beer games" |

Links outside of a handful of approved sites aren't typically permitted so best we avoid them just in case the thread gets removed
Folk would now by now where to look! |

Great movie and soundtrack
It's streaming on Disney

I presume that the Just Watch links are ok OP as they're all legal options and not promoting any single item/service. |
