Belfast

Haven't heard anyone talk about these in years but they were always part of my childhood.

Probably the most well known are The Hare and the Tortoise and The Lion and the Mouse.

There was always a moral to the story.

Probably less well known was a collection of Aesop parodies called Fables for the Frivolous but most people will have heard of the best known of those or at least be aware of the tale.

Amusingly enough for a fab forum it is called The Sychophantic Fox and the Gullible Raven.

The moral of the story being if you suck up to enough ravens you get cheese. So many ravens though... Where to start?

I have some of these and I've read them to the kids. Not sure if the moral has hit home yet but I'll keep trying
