Optimistically booked a trip to Dublin in December

We live in hope and have booked a long weekend in Dublin, mainly to take in a couple of shows, one of which was cancelled from last December.
We're looking for suggestions of places to go and things to do.
We have been before so have been to a few bars in Temple, the Guinness factory and Trinity College library.
What else would you recommend? |

Hopefully your gig is still on at that stage
Depending on what date in december a walk around town with all the Christmas lights up would be nice
If the weather is crap a trip on the coastal route train called the dart can be nice
You can either go northside and walk around Howth pier or Southside which has the nicer views and walk on Dún Laoghaire pier |

Hopefully open in December "
I’m not sure they meant next December. They had a show cancelled last month. Maybe they did mean the one coming but it’s quite ambiguous.
Would be surprised tho if anyone would book a weekend that far away |

I’m not sure they meant next December. They had a show cancelled last month. Maybe they did mean the one coming but it’s quite ambiguous.
Would be surprised tho if anyone would book a weekend that far away "

Yes the gig was for Dec 2020 and is now Dec 2021.
Booking a weekend so far in advance just gave us hope of better things to come
