So this morning/lastnight,I decided to test out my cooking....I made cornflakes and toast....

No no...I decided to try brown bread and apple tart...and some buns...

The crows enjoyed the brown bread..

The apple tart wasnt bad...the buns were like rocks...

So how would you rate your cooking/baking skills

I'm a decent cook but I'd class myself as a better baker.

Ive been trying not to do too much given I just eat it all, but I love making cakes, muffins, pies, cheesecake etc.

I have to say I’m a fairly good cook, I like simple dishes but put effort in to make them proper tasty

Slow roasted ham hock with spring onion mash and a fried egg if one of my favourites

I’m a very good cook. Love feeding people, trying new dishes. I cook by taste and am an intuitive chef.

I can NOT bake. I burn or undercook everything. Even cookies or fairy cakes. I’m a DISASTER.

Actually baked for a couple of people on here after a chat in the room led to me having to send pictures of my baking to them all. This then led to them asking to sample them. My specialty is a chocolate orange Cointreau Bombé but also do great raspberry & white chocolate scones as well as an amazing lemon drizzle cake.

Yep really So long as you're delicate with the spices it works really well. I've also done chilli, coconut and lime. And for a party did a big selection of mini cuppies that were all based on various cocktails.

Smaller one is ideal for a smaller meal as it concentrates the heat more and there are some great slow cooker recipes online, try lamb shanks in a red wine gravy

Its basically sugar and lemon juice. You can use caster sugar and lemon juice though if you want a crunch use granulated sugar. 4 tablespoons of icing sugar to 6 of lemon though i do put a twist in mine and add lemoncello (always good to bake with alcohol). Mix the lemon juice and sugar together to form a paste and its important to spread over the warm cake, you can also prick the cake to allow the juice to seep in. Its about experimenting and seeing what you like. I like a good lemon taste

"Well ... how do you cook your steak ..?? And then you know how well you cook... as for the baking if you can make a decent loaf of bread, you can bake... "

4 mins each side on a hot skillet. Leave to sit for 4mins. Reduce the rest of the marinade with the juices and resting juices. Yum.

I am good at both

I won a Kitchenaid mixer in my job years ago as I won a baking contest. A proud moment I must say.

I can cook pretty well. I use to bake a lot years ago but just haven't bothered in a long time. But freshly made bread or cakes are the best. Might do it again at some stage.
