Hopefully someone's making sure he doesn't launch a nuke. Trump needs to be told he's not fit for office (25th amendment). But he'd only look like a martyr then in his supporters eyes. |

US citizen here, completely embarrassed by what I'm seeing. Many questions come to mind:How was it so easy for the Capital to fall into their hands? Would a mob of BLM or Moslems be allowed to take the Capital as easy? Unfortunately there wont be enough time to impeach him and I doubt if his lakies in cabinet will have the will or the guts to use the 25th amendment. Also how Ted Cruz continued with the objections in light of what is happening is a utter disgrace. If there is a god trump will spend time in prison. |

Stopped watching it around 2 but as others have said I couldn't believe how easy they found it to storm the building
Compared to how the police looked on the steps for the BLM protest and they way they acted yesterday was eye opening

Like yes I get he had been a walking disaster for 4 years but he had actually become a huge player in the republican party even those that didn't like him had to work either with him or around him. Even after losing the election he would of needed to be kept in the loop..

Well the courses are closed here but it wouldn't surprise me if he played Doonbeg anyway as he "owns" it.
If it was me, I think I'd prefer golf in Florida rather than west coast of ireland in January.

No we didn't and now we have supermarkets with endless rows of empty shelves due to supply chain issues and Sainsbury's selling over 70 Spar product lines in an attempt to keep stock levels up.
Throw in Amazon and the like refusing to deliver to Northern Ireland and asking for an alternative delivery address |

Erm brexit was the UK. This is the ireland forum. Only Northern Ireland is affected by brexit not the Republic

Yes we will be affected by it in some ways but if you look at the post I quoted it would appear that the person thinks Ireland is part of the UK. That is what I meant. Maybe I'm wrong and if so willing to be corrected "

Any attempt to remove trump via 25th Amendment will fail dramatically. The actual processes required to remove him using the 25th can be easily circumvented by Trump within 1 hour.
A successful impeachment prevents him from running, as we all know, but I reckon it’s Donald Jr who is being groomed for the 2024 presidential run.
Finally the New York AG is ready with charges for him and the family. Whether he can self pardon himself and the family remains to be seen but state law cannot be avoided whether a self pardon would be successful. The NYAG is ready for the Trumps and they cannot hide behind any pardons. |

It's sad to see how it's going.
They are so divided over there and with so little choice.
We have some prize eejets of politicians here but nothing like that.
At least over here you have a few parties.
I don't agree with everything let's say from the independents or people before profit but they give people a voice and hold the big parties to account. |
