One of my favourites from Luke isn't an Irish song at all... The night visiting song.
Another one, the live recording of The black velvet band.. The energy is incredible
There are still many though. When someone is blessed with such an incredible voice, anything they sing sounds good. |

the song is called raglan road and the air is called the dawning of the the day, the words were written as a poem by the famous irish writer Patrick Kavanagh and the dubliners put the air to the poem and the song was born! |

Yep I know. I played the air for years before I knew that though. I'm a bit of a latecomer to Luke Kelly. I want to combine all three elements for a performance piece - I've the vision in my head and some of it on paper so I'm hoping that with a bit of help from my colleagues we can make it come to fruition. |
