For me, I honestly I have no idea.
I remember being at one party once hosted by a couple I personally knew.
I tried to initiate contact, you know chat and be friendly and tell jokes. Get to know people you know . But most people just sectioned off into groups and it was quite hard.
I remember chatting to the couple who invited me during the night asking how things were going. The man of the couple was a little annoyed at the rude attention his wife was getting over him - not an ego thing - just some of the other men were talking over him trying to flirt with his wife!

If you’re attracted to someone just be polite and straight up about it. If there’s a refusal, take it gracefully and move on.
Don’t get too d*unk at your first party and pass out on the toilet or anything. It’s quite easy to hide nervousness in a glass and lose sight of why you’re there. It’s a lovely community and manners go a long way. Someone will guide you guys at the party and help you find your way.
Happy Fabbing. |
