All you lovely fab people.

Tell me honestly, how does it make you feel when someone calls you a male/female?

Are you okay with it?

Do you think it's a little dehumanizing?

Personally when anyone calls me a female instead of a woman it makes me feel like either some owned pet of female gender or a dry box to tick when you're filling out application forms.

To me it's one of the most impersonal ways to approach a human being be it a "male" or a "female"

What are your thoughts?

A town near you

Never given it much thought, and now that it's been brought up I realise I could care less!

The female lol

I'm never to hung up on labels and such things.... One man's woman is another man's lady and vice versa.

It bothers me...And I've never put a finger on why, put when its phrased in the context "looking for Female/Male" it just grinds my gears.

I think it gives an insight into the person, as in if they're genuinely interested in a connection which makes for a better experience, or they just want to fuck to satisfy their own needs

South Side.

I'm a male, a man. That's what I like to be called. Both words describe me, and are equally descriptive.

I think it depends in the context. I think a lot of people dont even consider negative connotations of the word.

However the Incel community have definitely appropriated the word Female. For example, a 'girl, woman or lady', might suggest a person with a certain level of maturity or class. But the word 'Female' is more dehumanizing and sums them up entirely by their sex, like some kind of farmyard animal.

If I see someone 'looking for Females', I'd look a bit closer at the context and try see if there was any deeper meaning.

You are right. For instance, a man may be referred to as being male. A woman may be referred to as being female. However you seek a man or a woman. You do not seek a male or a female. Never bothers me though if used incorrectly.

I don't care tbh, what does irk me about the world of swinging is that all females are "ladies" while males are just males.

I've never gave any thought so it clearly doesn't bother me. But then I've never been one bothered by labels.

Imo it's another over-thought pc language nonsense. I guess it's the expression 'looking for males/females' that bugs some. It's a sex site and we all have gender preferences. It's a way of expressing it. I wouldn't read too much of a whole attitude into it.

I agree with this reply...though sometimes in messages we will be asked " am I chatting to the male or the Fem?"...and I would always answer as "the woman", not "the Fem". It doesn't bother me to read it on people's profiles though

It's bit odd when someone addresses you directly like that, I agree. But again it's just to clarify who he/she's talking to. I'd say nobody ever got a message 'hi sexy female/male, wanna fuck?'

A town near you

Female, girl, woman, chick, bird, doll.

Male, bloke, fella, man.

All amount to the same thing.

I'm sure if someone is looking for something between the lines they would be more specific
