It will be like temporary release from prison lol. All jokes aside it will make a difference to my life, freedom of movement definitely when the travel restrictions are lifted. I can just do simple things again, it will make a difference for Xmas shopping and Xmas spirt for people.

It won't make much of a difference to me. Level 3 has still 'stay in your county' restriction, which is a pain and pointless.

Yes the travel restrictions are really annoying at this point. Are there still check points all over the place? Hopefully over the next few weeks that will change aswell sooner rather that later.

They won't make any difference to my Christmas OP, my kids were going to come home from college regardless, and I still won't be putting elderly extended family at risk by meeting them.

It will be nice to be able to do some non-essential shopping, get hair done, facial, manicure, massage, osteopathy, and hopefully eat out a few times.

What we usually look forward to in December is not Christmas, but a week in the sun in the early New Year, that won't be happening this year.

Same shit different day.. This level 5 we have is a joke.. People are behaving as normal.. It's not like the lockdown of the summer where people obeyed the rules.. It'll be the most lonely Christmas ever unless of course you want to get sick

I've 3 items to shop that I won't get online and I only get them by breaking travel restrictions. Ooooh look, a miracle just happened, those 3 items just became 'essential'. "

somewhere

It'll make a huge difference to some workers who can go back and get 4 weeks wages before Christmas

It'll make a difference to some business owners who can't sleep at night due to money issues

We will be like this until the vaccine is rolled out ...up and down between 2 and 5 for another 12 months ....roll up the sleeves and get on with it

I'm so looking forward to it. I'm planning to make the most of it until the next lockdown.

First thing will be a long swimm in the pool and a bit of xmas shopping. Road trips when allowed ...and overall happy that other people will get back to work a bit.

Now you made me curious, which alcoholic drink can you not buy online? Nowadays you can even buy your Poitín online.

In fairness when all is said and done Sex would have to be classed as " essential " and lm not just talking about lockdown essentials ..sex is probably THE most essential feel good factor both physically and mentally for people and lack of it for whatever reasons throughout time has ended relationships and Marraiges ...so l do think Sex would have to be classed as essential for health reasons.

I wouldn't class alcohol and sex as essential and yes it's subjective indeed.

Hugs and intimacy are certainly important for health.

I can't wait for them to be lifted. 6 weeks is a long time. I've been getting by just like everyone else but it'll be nice to be able to meet up with friends and family again.

It'll be a strange Christmas especially for pubs if they are allowed to open, the atmosphere is unlikely to be the same as before.

Also it'll be nice to be able to go out in the car and not at another checkpoint of coppers. I think I'm getting flashing blue light syndrome.

Either way I hope everyone gets to enjoy Christmas of 2020. Its definitely been a strange one but it looks like despite it all we are gonna pull through it and deserve a little pat on the back for that.
