"Used to prefer black pudding but it's very hit and miss so usually go for vegetable roll instead. "
Oh noooooo I have never had one of those I like. I'd never even had one until I moved up here .
I like both puddings occasionally sometimes even together. |

Is white pudding really pudding though since it doesnt contain blood? Does that technically make it some sort of weird sausage. I dunno, I'm told white chocolate isnt really chocolate since it doesnt contain any cocoa. I dont know what to believe anymore. |

"Some of you are referring to a vegetable roll. Enlighten me. Is this just a spring roll?"
It's nothing like a spring roll. It's a cross between white pudding and burger meat and contains meat and vegetables. It's cooked the same as the other puddings |

Love it! It's sausage meat with onions and trace amount of a leek or some other veg in it. Shaped and sliced like black pudding |

Seriously people, enough about the ketchup. Just to clarify... brown sauce on a fry... ketchup on a burger! This rule cannot be broken!! As for pudding? Both please,in large quantities. Especially on batch with Kerry gold butter! Dip that in a soft fried egg and you can thank me later!!! |

"Is there no pudding in an Ulster fry?"
From what I can see there is, but they have fried white soda and potato farms as well....but I've never sampled the culinary delights of Ulster so what do I know right.
I will say this though, Clonakilty pudding as part of a full Irish is sacrosanct.

It is seldom I have it due to the calorie intake.
I do grill a lot of it and have a poached egg instead of fried.(haven't fried an egg in years)
Ballymaloe relish instead of ketchup. |

33g of sugar per 100g in ballymaloe relish. Its literally a third pure sugar. |

"Just noticed I haven't had a fry in the last two years. I like them both. Problem is it's hard to find organic pork produce in Ireland. "
Just buy regular bordbia approved pork and give them a fistful of extra cash at the till.. for the true organic experience. |

Agreed, which is why I have a small ramikin amount (15g-20g)
Compare that to the amount of ketchup ppl generally cover a fry in, ketchup ain't exactly light on sugar. |
