Hey all! Just thinking to myself on the users that must have a face pic sent to them when you message first time which in turn is fair enough, that’s what they want. I’m sure we have all done this at one stage, but how do you feel when you see it’s been opened and no reply? Lol
Not the best feeling! Lol even a message back to say something, takes a lot to send a face pic I think, considering a good few are being ‘discreet’ on this site. |

I know I'm female so having to send facepic with a first message has never happened to me. But I would not send one anyhow on demand. If someone insisted then I'd just not message.
As Sbelfast said you do need a thick skin on here at times. But you also should set your own rules for yourself and don't be made feel uncomfortable by sending pics etc until you want to. |

Agreed that you need a thick skin on here. Sites like fab and dating sites can easily make you feel ugly if you let it.
I have sent my fair share of face pics with first emails. It's silly tho. My privacy is worth the exact same as the next and all too often those who demand face pics do not openly share theirs publicly.

It is your choice to send a face pic with a first message and I'm sure it does take a lot of courage to do so. If I do happen to open a message that has a face pic I would comment on it and say thank you. What does annoy me is when some expect a face pic in return. I am one of those that class themselves as discreet and that is because I don't feel the need to broadcast my activities here as a badge of honour like some do.

The first one gets to you
Then you realise it’s no big deal as the second, third, fourth happens
Now I send face pics for me to put my best face forward (so to speak) when I feel that people might like to see me, so I generally don’t care if they return or not
Generally I’m happier now |

I wouldn't send on demand or expect to be sent but i do ask after we've been talking for abit and getting on but it's more that i like to see who im talking too and if they don't wanna send it not a big deal, but if someone randomly sends me a face pic in the first message that's on them and i dont feel the need to have to reply to them ... Strangely they never ask to see hubbys face pic hes feeling left out lol |

If we send someone the first message - we always attach our faces as it's only fair for people to know who they are talking to.
We tend to avoid people who say that they will send one after chatting for a bit for two simple reasons:
1. Chatting to someone who you have no idea what they look like is extremely difficult (bonus when it's a couples profile and there's only woman's photos on it and no sign of a guy).
2. If you happen to chat for a bit and seem to want to meet that person/People then they send you a photo and you find that they're a complete opposite of what you expected and there's no attraction whatsoever (that was my personal experience which happened way too many times which lead me to stick to the face first rule).
We are quite bad when it comes to online chatting anyway so if after exchanging faces and a few messages we realize that the said person/People are sound and are on the same wavelength we just arrange a wee social.
Getting to know someone instead of never ending online chats is always better in our eyes.

If the person went to the effort of sending a face pic its nice to acknowledge politely, even if not interested. There should be no pressure to respond with one. |

I think it should be noted that ALOT of people on here do not want to be the first to send the pic.
No one wants to be rejected, but we have no issue rejecting someone we don't like.
In many ways fab, just like life, is a game. |

The worse time is when you both agree okay we will exchange. You send ...no reply.. hahah it's so bad. Yep a big hardy Rhino skin is what you need here. Esp as a male.
Throw away the moisturizer! |

The way we look at it, who ever sends the first message or expresses an interest sends a face pic. With the amount of single guys, it's useful if we see a face pic early, no matter how long we chat, we are nothing meeting unless there is some attraction. A face pic can save time all round. |

If a face pic is asked for and sent and then seen opened and not replied to it just means the lady see's no physical attraction and to her it ends there , course it aint the nicest thing to happen a guy but whats worse is when they promise a return face pic on receiving yours then its not returned cause whos to say the lady you sent your photo to may not be physically attractive to you either but you'll never know. |

I tend to play it safe, a few years ago friend of mine sent her photo on here and the dude ended up being her boss.. ended up pretty toxic following that. |

There’s tons of accounts here (that you learn to spot) that do that - and the account disappears once you send the face pic .... personally I think fab can do more security wise - a lot of these acts have motives the mind boggles really |
