Galway were very good yesterday.
Tipp were below par, and Limerick were very impressive in bad conditions.
Didn't see the Kilkenny v Dublin, was a great game by all accounts tho.
Waterford for the All-Ireland
Just 1, in my lifetime and I'll die a happy man.
Cork were below par too, lots of wides. |

The winners will be the most strongest physically team that can hurl ..what l mean by that is this years championship is being played in the winter and the small fast players have no hard top of the ground to move on like in tbe summer..its a different playing pitch surface so the bigger stronger players will out muscle the lighter players .Todays conditions proved that in both codes. |

Limerick were very impressive in atrocious conditions, the starters and the guys that came in from the bench. I make them favourites.
Personally think Wexford were poor and played right into Galways hands.
Kilkenny have TJ Reid and just know how to get win big games. They took the foot completely off the pedal against the Dubs. They are capable of taking out anyone but I think that last year everything went right for them against Limerick. Limerick didn't fire at all and were very wasteful and still could have and maybe should have won. I can't see that happening again if both teams meet.
Waterford I just can't see winning it outright.
After this weekend I'm writing off Tipp, Cork, Wexford and Clare. Its not like other years and I just don't see teams in the back door getting the same momentum. I also agree with the poster above about physicality matter inn more this year than other years. It's winter hurling. So Limerick for me. |

You can’t knock tipp out of it either, Limerick were at the races and really did perform but I cannot see tipp playing that bad and if the two sides meet again I wouldn’t be surprised to see the result go the other way.

2 outstanding Teams after the weekend
Chasing pack little enough between any of them
Tipp very poor yesterday but if we get a run in the qualifiers,we might work ourselves into a bit of form and become a threat
Limerick lads fairly gung-ho given they have won 2 all Ireland’s since before ww2 and blew up last year against Kk |

You'd think with all your titles you could be a little more gracious in defeat. Let the limerick boys enjoy the build up when they have a genuine chance and stop acting like a child.
I should also point out that your argument stretching back to WW2 is a bit daft and irrelevant as the format has changed with the back door and who's to say limerick would not have won more. For example you wouldnt have won it last year as you'd have been out after limerick beat you and kilkenny in turn wouldnt have beaten them as they'd have been dumped out by Wexford with no back door. |

"Great game today I think we will go all the way this year what's everyone else's views on it "
Limerick definitely have the best team ATM but you had the best team last year.......and lost.
The weather might help you this year, big physical young team, should suit them but don't rule out tipp or Galway yet.
Limerick should be going for 3 in a row, not yet convinced they have the killer instinct when it all gets serious. |

Everybody here writing Tipperary off after one game. They can only improve in my book, P.Maher was poor on the day. Didn't have Bonner, M.Breen or McCormack starting either. And I think they made the wrong choice playing against the wind in the first half given the way Limerick play.
Cork v Dublin match will be a cracker, Cork can only improve too.
Long season left.

Now theres a guy that knows how to explain a situation , the last two All Irelands Tipp won were through the back door ,whatever way is still great ,but proves this mans reply about winning all lrelands in a different format, Cork beating Tipp by 10 points in Cork the previous time ment Tipp would've been gone in the first round. |

After reading the comments, some i agree with some are just been the usual one man one county an loyal to the core! But if been neutral which il try to be been an avid limerick hurling girl.
Its wide open. Limerick may have looked good, skill, technical, the packing out,the defense etc. We have been for the last few years. Some years its paid off, some we faulter like many teams but more so us over the last 60 odd years. one thing an all Ireland isn't won on first round or second round of championship. Tipp looked poor on Sunday,on any given Sunday tipp wouldn't miss that many wides, few players off form. Limerick hurled well, we are used to the rain in limerick lol, we worked better as a team than tipp did. Wexford got a lesson from galway, cork to me are still rebuilding. Kilkenny never trust a cat there the sneaky ones lol
My prediction it will be a limerick vs galway All Ireland. But I wouldn't right off Tipp either, there's always a shocker, always a twist,it what makes Hurling the greatest amateur sport of all time. |

The arrogance of some Tipp posters is laughable. Take your medicine and stop begrudging others their day in the sun. Wheel out all the stats you want, the reality is this Limerick team have proven again that they are a better team than your current team. |

“Potato Republic”
You’ve taken it up a level there now Pal
Do you really want to start comparing the Republic with your bigoted, diseased, sectarian little statelet that’s being propped up by the British state to the tune of billions every year and is still a failed state?
If you do
Let’s go
But I’d rather concentrate on the hurling.
Limerick win one game this year they are hyped to the last
2019 they lost 3 championship games
2018 A Joe canning free falls short and they win the all ireland
Hardly the stuff of invincibility

You're the one called me "a wannabe". I'm quite happy where I am! I'm Irish and I have all the benefits of having a British passport as will!!
Your vitriolic hatred is only surpassed by your ignorance.
Yes I'd much rather live in a stable economy with a free healthcare system accessible to all than live in a 'republic' governed buy self serving frauds which has lurched from one boom or bust to the next, always reliant on others and which is propped up by Europe.
And you call us 'diseased'????
Now run along and brag about your counties list of honours of which you contributed f@&k all to!! It'd have been interesting to have seen your commitment to the game itself if you grew up in the climate you describe up here.
Having represented my county at minor, U21, and senior level I am no wannabe and have no desire to live anywhere else and I will have my opinion should I wish on a thread like this. Concentrate on your own teams inadequacies at present rather than trying to bring the opposition down!
This is the last i will post on this thread. Make sure you come back though and eat your humble pie when you don't will Liam this year. |

Now there’s a red faced rant
So many points I could pick apart, but I only bothered to address two of them,
Firstly your beloved NHS ain’t “free”,we all know that you nordies love the handout but anyone that’s in work in the uk pays for it through their contributions
Secondly any chap with a Hurley would get a run on your Mickey Mouse northern hurling teams
