Yes I use Chromecast and just bought a Firestick.
I also have an LG smart tele but cannot get apps to update even though tele is connected to wifi. A mate who knows his stuff said smart teles can be a pain and to cast or use and android box.
Google have latest generation of Chromecast just released and it uses Google tele....it looks sweet.
Amazon Firestick 4k is highly recommended and only 50 pound.
