Dublin March

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

Going from my previous post about a business trip to Dublin in December, we’ve provisionally rearranged it for March!

Hopefully restrictions will be somewhat lifted by then so I can enjoy Dublin the way I have in the past!

"Thought you were going to march down O'Connell Street ."

Plans are still going ahead for December!

I have a zoom meeting this week and am hoping to have the final decision by the end of the week from business partners and the country.

I think regardless of what happens I will be there in December for a night and March for a week

"So you arecoming over here for onenight and staying 2 weeks."

December I will probably come over, have my meetings and then isolate when I return to Wales for two weeks

March may be a different situation

So you'll come and spread all your germs here but make sure you're safe when you get back to Wales.

Haha, if you see it that way then fine. But I am regularly tested.

If I were to test positive or have anyone I surround myself with test positive, I’d change my plans.

But right now, I’ll stick to the guidelines that are to quarantine for 2 weeks upon returning.

Unfortunately you can’t conduct all business over Zoom/Skype, physical meetings are required and inspections have to take place.

Not that I have to explain my business to anybody on here

This was all started by a request for a first hand account of what the lockdown restrictions are like in Dublin right now.

Maybe I’ll start looking at other locations

Those are the UK's guidelines for returning... Our guidelines for visiting are that anyone travelling from a non-greenlist location must restrict their movements upon entry, ie, don't use public transport, remain in one location, don't socialise with anyone, don't use shops unless absolutely essential, no visits to bars and restaurants etc. Basically you have to quarantine on arrival for two weeks, or the entire time you're here if less than two weeks.

The UK isn't on the greenlist (nowhere is at the moment) so it's advised not to travel to anywhere, or visit Ireland from anywhere.

Who knows what the guidelines will be in December but it seems unlikely that they will be much different.

Once again you’ve been the only helpful person on here, many thanks for this information x
