You might get a mild reaction at the injection site, soreness or swelling. Some people may get a mild fever or aches and pains with the next day or so.
I had it last year for the first time, no side-effects whatsoever. |

I got it last year for the 1st time and worked great, only got 1 dose all year where as the previous couple of years I was plagued with flu/cold. The vaccine doesn't protect you from every bug, they try to go by the previous year and antisapte what may come the following season but its impossible to cater for every flu variant in 1 vaccine so it is recomended to get a 2nd updated vaccine half way through the season.
The flu vaccine does not give you the flu by the way, it's a dormant virus. People like to blame the vaccine if they get a bug after getting the vaccine but as mentioned above it cannot cater for every variant in circulation they just try to anticipate what may come but its not guarantee to cover everything. For me it a no brainer this year to try prevent instances of whole households having to stay home a d self isolate over a common cold/flu as symptoms can be so close to covid synthoms |

I get it every year, just go easy on yourself the day of and day after you get it, no big gym sessions or nights out, make sure you eat well etc. Otherwise nothing to worry about, takes five mins and protects the most vulnerable in our society! |

I've been wondering whether to get this myself. I got it once years ago and felt like I spent that entire year sick. I didnt get the flu but I permanently had a cold. So I really don't know what to do. |

I seized getting flu vaccines 20 years ago . Cannot see the point anymore. Concerned side effects getting one , the list is long , just google it . But it’s after all a decision anyone has to take for himself |

There is a big push for people to take the flu jab this year in the hopes that if more people take it then less people will need treated for the flu.. Decreasing the demand on the health service. Plus there will be less confusion over if its the flu or covid.. |

My mum runs nursing homes and told me the other day there's major issues getting the vaccine this year. Apparently the pharmaceutical companies are only sending them out in batches of 250 at a time, so there's already long waiting lists to have it. |

"well prob get ours next week. Also will be getting the ones for the kids. A spray up the nose and theyre done
Shame us adults couldnt get the spray as well "
exactly what himself said. Not a fan of needles myself but its over in seconds and i think it was only once it was a bit sore afterwards. I think the whooping cough one i had to get when i was pregnant was way worse |

It’s very easy and usually just means a bit tender around the injection site
Just don’t get it if you feel a bit under the weather, put it off until feeling better, as it will exaggerate how you feel
Oh and keep your arm completely relaxed when getting it, it helps with the tenderness around the injection site |

Agree and do much the same myself, plus I buy a bag of lemons, slice them up, put into a big jug with some water and squash, squeeze etc. Then I add some of that mix to a cup of hot water twice a day. It actually tastes lovely and refreshing. |
