Following on from another thread, what is your spread of choice on toast. Are your a spreadable person or are you old school and go for proper butter and none of that plastic crap. And then do you add marmalade or jam of even nutella to finish it off.
Of coarse a big mug of tae goes without saying. |

"Kerrygold butter
Toasted ham and cheese
Charleville cheese spread
Depending on the time of the day "
Charleville cheese spread is so good. Another thing I miss from down south
But butter and proper raspberry jam in the mornings is lovely on toast. |

In order of preference...
Butter (real)
Cheese (mature white cheddar, melted under the grill)
Butter + Nutella (sweet and salty deliciousness)
Peanut butter (smooth)
Wouldn't thank you for marmalade or jam on toast.

"And something that I’ve recently discovered are toasted bagels and Philadelphia cheese, simply devine"
That's a whole other category from toast! But agreed, love an Everthing bagel with cream cheese |

Am i the only one ? That spreads butter instantly so that it melts. Then peels away the top buttery soft side first before nibbling the remaining toasted side |

When I was a young lad growing up on a farm, we used to make our own butter. I've never had more creamy delicious butter since. No toasters in them days - we used to hold a slice of bread in from of the fire and then put a slab of butter on it... yummy! |

No but I do butter immediately so it melts in and then a second layer of butter which stays solid |

Noooooo! You can't have solid butter on toast! That's horrendous. It has to be all melted in! |

"Proper butter.. And lots of it.
And if I'm feeling wild.. raspberry jam or lime marmalade when I can get hold of it
L"
Lime marmalade... yasss sistah!
It was difficult to come by for a few years but I’ve been able to get it in most Dunnes/SuperValus the last year or so. Had a major brain-fart about 8 years ago and got in trouble trying to bring a few jars home from England in my hand luggage for my Dad |

All Irish butter is produced from friesan cows with the exception of a few niche brands that use Jersey cows. Kerry Co. OP. Have done a great marketing job to make us believe kerrygold is better. Rant over |

Same on a scone. Scone needs to be hot so the butter can melt |
