I've been here for at least 3 years.
Never deleted my profile, been always true to myself and only ever changed with ever changing circumstances. One thing I've always stuck to is sending people current face photos.
People come and go. It's normal, but what I've noticed that on fab (as well as some more popular dating apps That I had the joy of using) most people who come and go - will send you same photos over and over again.
I mean yes, there may be some more flattering photos that one is super proud of, but when you get someone's photo in 2020 and you recognize it from 2017... do you ever stop and think there's something fishy? Or is it acceptable to just have 2-3 go to Photos and only change them every 5 years or so to keep up with the greys? |

Probably 12 to 18 months is okay,...though I understand if you have a particularly flattering one, it's hard to let it go!...I have a very nice one taken in 1987! |

I've never deleted pictures from when I started my profile so I have ones from years ago, however, I'd like to think I've routinely uploaded and updated them as time has gone on
When it comes to face pics I would send as recent a one I have on my phone ever since Fab offered the option to upload directly from there! Or, if possible, send a "live" picture on Kik; I would argue that the latter is what anyone who may be sceptical/cautious ought to ask for.
Also, honestly, I believe some people will think merely having a picture (akin to how a green tick is seen) is all that's needed on here; so they're not overly bothered on updating so long as there's some frame of reference for who they're messaging. As I'd imagine, without looking at the date of pictures, that the "success rate" of messages is much higher when not from a silhouette. |

In general if we are hoping to have a social meet or otherwise we try to share something taken within the last 3/4 months. It's the same when posting gallery photos, I was in far better shape a couple of years ago so I don't see the point of recycling old photos and disappointing anyone. The wtf look when we walk into a room is one I don't want to experience |

Have walked into a coffee meet to see they have aged 10 years and gained 20kg in the last few days..
Would rather people be who they are than try and be something they used to be in the past. |

Yeah the rare time I'm exchanging face pics I'll make sure they're well up to date.
The pics on the profile are all some sort of a body shot... and I've genuinely not changed shape or lost or gained any weight in many years so they can stay put! |

I think older pics are fine as long as you have decent recent ones too. Shows your progression haha!
Dating sites are much worse. Lots of photos are obviously from years ago and it’s really easy to verify by googling the person and finding the age of the photos from FB etc |

"Theres couples on here using face pics rendered by snap filter to make them appear much younger.
Yep true story "
If people only have filter photos I just glide on by! They’re obviously hiding their true looks and possibly insecure or just not the sort of personality I’m into if it’s all about filters |

Not trying to shame anyone but there's a fair few women on here that look like each other because of the filters.

If there was an interest in me meeting a guy here I'd always ask for and send a live kik photo. There's no hiding anything when its a live photo . Here on fab I've sent photos and they've not been any older than a year or so . |
