Just a random thread to see what car people would buy first if they won the lottery in the morning.
Have to say mine would be a
Megane R.S Trophy - R. Its not the fastest FWD car around Nurburgring for nothing , beating the Honda Civic

A red convertible mini......honor my friend and travel around Europe with nothing but a toothbrush in it. She always told me the boot would not be big enough for the 2 of us and my answer was we will buy as we need |

A few transits and campervans to help a homeless charity I volunteer for
I've driven a few supercars but never warmed to them on the road maybe you need them on tracks so Id love a big luxury SUV like a Range Rover Sport |

I suppose this is mostly a 'boys thread'
I have a Lotus, and I like lots of the cars mentioned above and some of the newer supercars but when you get right down to it.....there is only one 'prancing horse'....styling, tradition,performance.....everlasting appeal. Ferrari just know how to design a classic. |

Certainly not a cheap American car, good just for taking pics and making movies.
Not even a Supercar, who likes to drive goes running on the circuits, certainly not on the street.
I would probably buy a One million €uro caravan, fully equipped with Hot-Tub and solarium on upper floor. |

Well if it's the same as licking a 9v battery then I'd say you could get it with an electric car |

After owning a LHD integrale. (And 2 8v ones) from personal experience. You can't daily them anymore. Too much upkeep feck all comfort. And a LHD in a RHD country is an absolute pain in the hole. Not to say I wouldn't own another one!

I've been lucky enough to have seen them in action. Pitty the ecv wasn't further developed, it would have wiped the floor with everything. |

I daily a 145 qv and it's totally not up to scratch with anything modern handling wise but it goes well and sounds better than any modern n/a 2.0 plus it looks cooler. If I had lottery money there's no reason you wouldn't daily an integrale. Just drive something else while it's on the ramps every few months.

I agree with you. If you own a car you have to drive it. If not then let someone else have it who will!
Just wish car tax and insurance wasn't a killer to cool cars in Ireland. So many cars that would be great to own as a fun toy at reasonable money. But the tax makes it next to impossible. Rx8's for example. Taxed as a 2.6liter and insurance next to impossible to get. But you can buy a good one for next to nothing now. Mazda rx7's are an appreciating classic now. And any that are in Ireland are they only ones you'll ever see. I was buying one in the UK a while back and when I did a vrt calculation they declared it a 60k car! Making the vrt about 9 grand!!! |

Ferrari 512 BB512.
Without a doubt.
Then a Audi Eron for day to day school drop/shopping.
Lastly an Audi R8 V10+ just to take the piss and teasing any cops trying to catch me. Obviously would have reflective number plates |
