last year stayed in Belfast with my kids

Did all the tourist things ,Titanic, crumlin road gaol, some shopping and visited The falls road and The Shankill road and the best bit was the fact they only knew some of the history apart from what's on Reeling in the years

Thats the legacy that lasts hopefully

Cocktaisl in the Merchant hotel are a must if visiting Belfast! Titanic is also OK but you don't get to use the replica staircase or mock-up of the First class deck area.

Think you need to book the Ulster Museum in this Covid scenario / then they check your details upon arrival

"Any recommendations on city centre hotels? Is the Wellington Park a good location?"

Good location if you are visiting the Ulster museum or Queens. Otherwise it's a 15-20 min walk to the city centre.

Grand Central, Ten Square, Holiday Inn, Hampton by Hilton, AC Belfast, Maldron,

Ramada are all really well located & good value

The black taxi tour gives you a great flavour of the city and if you do it first it'll give you ideas

Of what to do next

Titanic and Crumlin Road Gaol would be my choice

Well I’ve lived here all my life. If you’d like I can show you all the usual sights of things that happened during the conflict. Perhaps recommend a few nice bars? Drop you to the jail for the tour? Up to you really. I had family back from the States last summer and enjoyed showing them around. There’s a LOT more to Belfast than just the touristy bits they want you to see

You may want to double check any of the ideas you've got for this weekend in Belfast as there is serious talk of immediate restrictions or even a local lockdown of Belfast due to the high rise in covid cases in the area.

There should probably be something announced today so check the news too.

Thanks, we'll definitely check them out. So strange having to book ahead. We'd normally go out and go with the flow.
