I do too but it still wasn't helping yesterday...

Before that, charged my phone fully, went away and it was down to 40% when I got back a couple of hours later. A mate's was touching 20% from full charge.

From reading online loads of people are having issues. I deleted mine last night til I know it's been fixed

Just turn off the Bluetooth when you don't need the app. Bluetooth is the ultimate battery killer. And Facebook of course

Not deleting it too many cases popping up. Local shops full of tourists think it's back to shopping online

I don't notice any change worth taking about in battery usage so I'll be keeping the app.

I didn't notice any battery changes after installing the app. Seems to last the same time as before.

It was killing my battery all day Saturday and I was away for the weekend. Major inconvenience so I deleted the app. My phone was back to normal after that.

The battery cannot be damaged by 4 or 5 heavy load or useage cycles. That's just not how it works, every phone will shut down before it gets to a stage of it being damaged unless it's a production fault which it isn't in this case.

It was a software issues in which the auto update Bluetooth feature got stuck in a loop continually updating. Google and the HSE app contract design team sorted it out last night and I've had it re installed since this morning. App works fine and there are now no drainage issues or overheating. Biggest problem now is getting 80k people to reinstall it.

They did auto update it overnight but according to the HSE the Irish design team had to work in conjunction with Google engineers yesterday to find and resolve the fault. I've had in back on my phone since 7am. Battery still at 82% . This time yesterday with the app it had over heated and was at about 25%.

Mrs is Android but different brand phone, no issues. No clue why

So the trick is to delete the app and reinstall
