Has anyone been on a naturist hike/walk?
We’d like to set up or get involved with a group..
How does it work if your out with just your boots and a smile on and you meet clothed walker .. is there a scramble to get covered up?
We’re thinking maybe Sligo Leitrim Area..

Don't think its that straight forward bog unfortunately. There are indecent exposure laws and exposing to a minor. I believe the INA organise private nudist events which is different than heading out on public lands and hills. |

Don't think its that straight forward bog unfortunately. There are indecent exposure laws and exposing to a minor. I believe the INA organise private nudist events which is different than heading out on public lands and hills. "
They organise hiking events that head across public lands and hills
There's at least 5 beaches that events are held on open to the public and a 6 page article in last weeks Saturday Independent magazine explained how the law was changed and how it effects public nudity

I think it's legal to be bollock naked in public as long as no member of the public can come across you.... strange legal situation lol.
I do think we should have designated areas though for naturists |

NATURISM IS LEGAL
For an offence to be committed the person exposing him/herself must intend to cause fear, distress or alarm to another person.
In addition to the enactment of the 2017 Act the comments of Mr Justice Richard Humphreys in the High Court on 18th May 2016 are also very relevant. He said that “…..[people] merely exposing themselves in a public place does not constitute an offence. There were many counter examples where to do so is manifestly not indecent. These “life affirming activities” include use of certain bathing places, discreet skinny dipping, certain saunas, exposure for the purposes of theatre, avant-garde performance art, discreet artistic photography and so on”. |
