"The opposite to another thread started about food porn
No matter what I was promised I would never put an Oyster in my mouth I'd just puke
Any other hates "
You would not like the episode of Mr Bean where he slurps a plate full of oysters, only to realise they were gone off
I cant stand olives. They are just foul |

"Calamari. Slimy 8 legged gag evoking creatures of evil "
Remember in my 20's on my first foreign holiday and ordering the food in a restaurant using the menu with the pictures...steak,chips and a big plate of onion rings that I threw into my mouth before I realised they were Calamari.. |

This is funny , I remember chatting to a Polishman before about life in Ireland and he was giving out about the average Irish diet ( or at least what he observed to be ) and was giving out that we're an island with a population that wont eat sea food unless is covered in batter and salt and vinegar ha. |

I really don't like shellfish, its thehe consistency of them that really gets to me. Also for a few summers would pick winkles and it got to the point where I would see them in my sleep
Hate olives as well |

I think it's got a lot to do with the Catholic idea of penance. Eating fish instead of meat was a Friday punishment |

My brother sent a box of this home from Vietnam once, nobody was brave enough to try it. |

You really have to wonder about the people who first tried it |

I have no problem eating / tasting anything.
But dishes made with offal usually turn me upside down.
It's a matter of texture and consistency, not taste, cuz Pâté is great obviously. (even if should be banned for how is made).
And Irish Steak and Kidney Pie Is fine too. |

"Jesus. If I ever needed confirmation that fab was full if weirdos, this thread is it! "
Amen to that..
I work on the basis that you have to try it a couple of time before you decide if you like it or not.
Pretty much eat anything as a result. |

Never a truer word spoken!!! With the exception of olives I'd eat most of the things mentioned above... A few I've yet to try but would give them a go!! And I can't believe someone mentioned Coddle!!!! What's not to like about boiled sausages and rashers in a white stew???? That stuff is glorious!!! |

I am very lucky that I can eat almost anything and will try anything at least once. How can one say they don’t like something if they haven’t at least tasted it. I hate the smell of lamb being cooked.... it makes me want to throw up, but I still like the taste and do eat it.
I even tried Dog when I was in Korea and it tasted fine although I do get a very hard time from people about that!!!!!! |

It was served on a platter with other meats in a top class restaurant. I was in a mixed group of Irish and Korean people having evening dinner. It was almost 20 years ago. I don’t know how it was cooked. |

Did you know it was dog meat before you ate it
I'm just curious, I ate some horse while working on a stud farm in Paris and I wasn't told until after I had eaten it
It was fine while eating it but hated the fact that I had afterwards when I was told |
