Took a trip down to Cobh yesterday to meet friends & I must say it's such a beautiful place!

Highly recommended spike Island tour, cobh cathedral & The Titanic experience.

Officially my favourite little get away spot

East / North, Cork

We took the train from Midleton to Cobh and back last weekend and had a brilliant time. As you say, there are loads of lovely spots in East Cork. Garyvoe Beach, Ballycotton Cliff walk, Fota, Jameson Experience, etc

East Cork has lovely places as mentioned above. There are nice places also close to city down Blackrock, also behind Pairc Ui Chaoimh, Crosshaven and West Cork. Cork has lots to offer.

East Cork is a hidden gem but has seen to much industry built up in the wrong areas, but still not a reason not to explore

I was on that tour last year and enjoyed it. Great view of Cork harbour on the ferry. Lovely places in Cobh for a bite to eat. The park in centre of town by the river Lee is really lovely. A nice town like all other places in East Cork/West Waterford

Actually I do remember seeing a guy who used to hang about around glounthaune train station naked in his car. Perhaps you can go see if he's still doing it.
