Blind date weekend away

So this idea came to me when I read another forum post asking if there are any swinger hotels and I thought well why not make our own one ...at least for a weekend anyway lol.
So the idea would be that we'll pick a hotel and a date (most likely November) to give plenty of notice and not in dublin .
When ppl arrive at the hotel they won't know who the swingers are from the vanilla's 
This will add to the excitement of trying to work out who is who.
People can get chatting to ppl they meet in the hotel and try work out if they are swingers or not, we might even give out a code word that ppl can throw into a conversation and if the ppl react then they know they are both there for the same reason and if they don't ...well that would save any embarrassment for both parties lol.
We would then have a reserved area in the bar maybe for about 10.30/11pm for everyone to then congregate and reveal themselves to each other and who knows where the night could go from there 
To keep the excitement and peoples curiosity going there would be no kik group and ppl would be asked not to post anything on their status updates.
To try to keep this to the genuine reliable ppl of fab we are thinking of maybe a €40 charge to be paid before you get the name of the hotel this would be fully refunded when we all meet in the reserved area .
And sure if nothing else we'll have a lora lora laughs 
Feel free to discuss if you think this is a good/bad or indifferent idea but if you are seriously interested send us a DM with blind date in the title .

Count me in, a brilliant concept & a nice run into Christmas, it would liven up a cold wet November. A midlands hotel would mean all have a similar distance to travel.
No status updates & no kik is a nice extra touch & the deposit for the hotel name should sort out the fakes & messers from the swingers...bring it on |

This is an option that we have been thinking about and maybe able to provide for those looking to add some extra mystery to their weekend .
We are thinking of block booking a number of rooms for say a birthday party . People then would have an option of paying the deposite of €40 and getting the name of the hotel or paying us in full for the weekend and we will send them back a booking confirmation with their name date but block out the name of the hotel . But we have to look into that option further.

Should you be handing out €40 deposits back in the bar..that could be one hell of a drinks kitty ...!
Secondly
If proceeding with block booking rooms might be an idea to pre block rooms on one floor.
Or give a hotel a code that anyone using when booking then to be put on same floor.
Though this may ruin fun of trying to identify fellow players in bar if seen on same corridor.
Only you will know if this is the case...
Pre blocking a floor or rooms close minimalise s possible complaints from other hotel guests if fun is taken upstairs from the bar..
Will be looking forward to reading account in the stories section how innocent fab member unknowingly stumbles on fab gathering whilst staying at hotel with work.

We are getting great feedback to the Blind Date weekend.
Our thinking behind this idea is for a weekend away with the added intrigue excitement and all the fab possibilities that go along with it.
Because we've all been stuck at home climbing the walls and maybe like us alot of you had to cancel over sea vacations .
We want to make this a weekend to remember. So we'd like to book a luxury hotel with all the facilities for ppl to be able to chill by a pool have a spa treatment and or just relax at the bar.
So with that in mind the obvious next hurdle is peoples budgets.
We have been looking through hotels and for what we are looking for as set out in our facility wish list it would be approximately €380 max 2 nights bed and breakfast but obviously we'll look for the best deal possible and if there's enough we might get a discount.
If ppl think that's way too much then of course we have no problem scaling the wish list back and looking for cheaper alternatives. So we'd appreciate any feed back on pricing please . You can do that by DM if youd rather not do it on the forum.
As we said this weekend is open to everyone couples single ladies/guy as long as you are well verified.
But please anyone who thinks that this is a free for all or have any expectations that this is a play party . It's not.
Now having said that that's not to say that there won't be plenty of action going on behind hotelroom doors and of course you may well be invited to join in the fun .
But for anyone attending be it couples or singles there is absolutely not expectations or pressure. You can just enjoy this weekend as nothing more than a social .
For any singles looking to attend if you know any other singles looking to attend maybe you can arrange to room with them to split the costs.

Perhaps a site location with a group of self contained cottages within reasonable large hotel distance or perhaps depending on genuine interests if the numbers are very large what about a separate split over separate weekends. I am sure you know best and well done for organising and bringing like minded people together for a fun weekend. Am sure it's not an easy task to organise but there is a high level of interest and goodwill from those of us wishing to attend and the surprise factor certainly make it interesting."
No it will definitely be in a hotel . It will be much easier for ppl to meet and mingle, i think a hotel would better than everyone staying in separate lodgings , for this particular social anyway . |

Update update!!!
So we have chosen a hotel finally lol.
We've gotten what we think is a great deal for a luxury weekend away . The price is for 2 nights B&B and and evening meal on the Saturday night. Please DM for prices .
Initially a limited number of tickets will go on sale next week so please double/triple check that you are available the weekend of the 13/14th of November.
Tickets are non refundable but will be refunded on the night to those that turn up. ( unless of course it's not safe to due to covid then full refunds will be issued )
This is a luxurious relaxed social M&G weekend away and let's face it we could all do with a bit of pampering. So please don't book if your expecting fun that's not what this is NOW having said that what happens back in ppl rooms is entirely up to them .
