On my way to work this morning I saw this woman with a fine ass , I was tempted to give her a beep as a touché to her for having such a nice ass but it got me thinking .
So to the ladies I ask , do you enjoy receiving a wolf whistle or a beep from a passing car ?
Do you take it as a compliment ? Or how do you see it ? |

Personally no I don't it has always made me feel uneasy especially when you are passing somewhere like a building site. Especially if you knew you had to pass by again.
Plenty do tho a mate of mine enjoyed it said it made her day when it happened.. |

Its something I've never understood. I get the stereotypical idea of a builder up scaffolding wolf whistling, or the man in a van beeping their horn and always thought they wouldn't have the balls to say hello or compliment that girl if they were walking past her....but in the safety of their mates around, or 40 foot up in the air or in a van they'd do it. |

I doubt too many builders are at that craic anymore...
Itd be an expensive whistle...youd be ran off the job,no company wants to be associated with that... |

Hence why I made a point of saying "the stereotypical idea"
Now back to the subject at hand.... |

If this is tolerated then the next step is groping and so on..there will always be 1 who will push the boundaries ..no need to be vocal or draw attention..no harm admiring and saying nothing..some women love it some think its an awful thing to do best of to side with caution and say nothing |

There was a time when it was socially "accepted", regardless of the situation, but today no longer.
There will certainly be women who will like it, and some who, even if they say otherwise, are happy in their heads to receive certain attention because it is in any case an appreciation and therefore social validation.
It always depends on the specific context.
If among young people on a vacation beach it can be part of the goliardic and teenege way of life, but if an old truck driver "Beep" a girl in a school uniform, the situation is fucking creepy.
We can say that in general it is a very borderline practice, so regrettable that it is good to leave only to the past memory. |

Its kinda weird as walking into work from my car its like you get this feeling... there is someone or something behind you.. so you clearly look behind... ... either a van of guys wolf whistling or a huge beep... which Yes trust me its so embarrassing... especially when you ain't expecting it... |

When I'm out walking and a car passes and beeps, it's usually someone I know, friend or family member, and it's just a way of saying hello. Never get that from vans or lorries, it's just not done now. |

Interesting how many ladies have said how it creeps them. Thankfully its a thing of the past ( almost). It was the norm to whistle at girls back in the 70s a d 80s on the sites and blow your horn at them. Dont think we understood how it would creep someone out. |
