I know you mean what happened here yesterday. its a disgrace! those cavemen should all be locked up but with the massive police presence in derry yesterday im starting to wonder how this protest managed to get so close to what was going on. there is a small number of these so called dissident republicans/support for them so the police should have easily controlled them and kept it out of view but i believe they let them get into the eye of the public for propaganda against the dissidents. the more people who see them acting the way they do the less support they will have. just my opinion but either way there is just no need for trying to keep the good people of this town in the dark ages! rant also over :P

unfortunately you will always get it in a democracy.

we had the same in the uk the weekend with republican protests and the queens hoo ha in london.

people just need to ignore the morons and move the country forward in a way that will please the majority.

unfortunately it gets a little more difficult to ignore people when they are blowing things up...

I didnt say i agreed with them infact i clearly stated "its a disgrace". I was in derry yesterday i seen the hundreds of police officers out and i know the amount of cctv surrounding the whole town i was just pointing out that those vermin scum with their political signs all marched together through the town to get to the guildhall where they staged their so called protest so why did 2 or 3 of the 7 landrovers lined along the foyle not intercept them instead of letting them go where the media cameras were set up already.

i have no political views and dont usually speak in these types of debates but i was a witness to this and i believe what i said is true.

also they werent protesting the olympics apparently they arent happy the police are putting pressure on them and raiding their homes.

Can't wait for it to arrive in Dublin tomorrow! I don't really know why it's coming here, but what the heck it's great! Except for Jedward being one (I mean two) of the bearers... ehm.

because, no matter what we think of them, we have a thing in the constitution called freedom of speech and expression.

this enables people to express views and opinions.

unless they were trying to insite hatred or causing criminal damage, there is very little the police can do.

unless you guys wanna live in a police state.

ah no, that wouldn't be nice. As annoying they are, they're better role models as the likes of people off Tallafornia lol
