Congratulations!
pregnancy is such a special time in a couples life .
Take the time to enjoy it together away from here.
You can always make connections with the prospect of meeting once the baby is born if you have the time
Im sure some pregnant women do meet so each to thier own . |

Loads of pregnant couples keep playing. Some just like to be watched, some will do soft play, some will do full sex. Unless there is some other risk factor (like a low lying placenta which you'd know about from the scan) then sex is encouraged by midwifes because it has proven health benefits. Baby is well protected behind the cervix. As long as you are using condoms (which we all do anyway right) then there is no reason you have to stop. It's really down to what YOU are comfortable with. |

Id give playing a miss until after youve had the child..think of the health of your baby..std risk is great..herpes can kill new borns.. |

Approx 80% of women in Ireland have, or have antibodies for herpes. Its very very common. If you're a swinger, then you almost certainly have it already. |

Sex with your partner is encouraged as its healthy and the baby is well protected. Sex with anyone else while pregnant wouldn't be for me but it's your choice. Could still play or do soft swap I'm sure alot do. |

In fact the last time I was at the sti clinic here in Cork they told us it's so common that they don't even bother testing for it. |

Until someone WITH herpes kisses your newborn and potentially kills them. Horrifying but so prevalent. I wish they would test and ask people to take valacyclovir and stay away from babies. |

Thank you...but sure it's nothing! According to some maybe people should educate themselves fully |

There is no point in testing, in all likelihood all it is going to tell you is that you (and most of everyone else) have it already. That's why they don't test. It's pointless. |

Oral herpes (HSV1) is very common almost everyone has it. Genital herpes (HSV2) is far less common and more dangerous for pregnancy
