from 1 July Ireland is effectively open ... the lock is off, you can travel, go out for a meal, go for a pint, get on with daily life ,the only restriction being 2mtr social Distancing, and soon that may be 1mtr.
so will you get on with life, live life as you knew or ?
how do you see Ireland from 1 July |

Well I think the 2m to 1m limit is more for workplace protocol than everyday social interactions. In my work, any 2 person task that requires working within 2m of eachother, you have to be fully gowned up with coveralls and hood, 2 sets of gloves, mask and face visor. Then everything is binned to be sterilised after 1 use.
I think most businesses simply couldnt afford to operate with those sort of precautions, so the limit would have to be reduced to open allow most businesses to return as normal |

Can't see the pubs making much this year. Especially where the elders would have their pint. I could be wrong but I can see a lot of old costumers not going for their evening pint. And I'd know a good few elderly people that use too go out every night and some saying they are too scared to pop out. |

Your post doesn't contribute anything to the thread's topic but to critise my choice of words. Yes is a guideline/recommendation, I put my hands up, my bad using the wrong term and I stand corrected. Most people know the WHO is an advisory body and it wasn't my intention to imply anything else. It doesn't change the fact that they revised their stand on face masks in public. As for the guidance in the composition of non-medical fabric facemasks they recommend 3 layers and of course it isn't implemented anywhere yet as it is a new 'recommendation'. |

RyanAir back flying from 1st July. Aer Lingus opening up Rome, Paris, Malaga, Alicante, Lanzarote from 1st too. Taking bookings right now and the bookings are coming in thick and fast. Stobart taking bookings from the 14th July. Lufthansa, KLM and Air France also back operational flight from the 1st. 14 day isolation is to be eased off towards the end of the month also because of the 17000 people involved in the Irish aviation industry that the government don’t want to end up on the dole. With many of them temporarily laid off, reduced hours or on Covid payment. It’s money, bottom line and a second wave is expected in September and the HSE and the Government is readying itself for it. |

The WHO make recommendations...and have recommended that an ffp3 mask be worn to combat the virus...which is the only one that protects against viruses...
So it's not just a recommendation they plucked out of the sky it's for peoples own good...  |
