You can only hope that poor girl died back then because the alternative of why else someone would take a child is too horrific to imagine. The parent's were negligent at the very least and only because of who they were got away with it. But they paid the ultimate price |

They'll have to live with their guilt for leaving the kids alone in the room that night and to be honest I think she was dead from within a few hours of her disappearance.

In fairness they do a pretty good job at living with the guilt.
Not sure the truth will ever come out, its easy to say they did it or had something to do with it but realistically there's not that much evidence to support it.
One thing for certain, as any parent knows, leaving 3 kids, 3 and under alone is an apartment was absolute bat shit crazy and to do that without some sort of sedation I just dont think that its possible.
So here lies the mystery. |

In fairness this looks more promising than some of the stuff that comes out every few months
I actually think that they are doing a great job in keeping her name and picture in the media and getting the government to pay over 10 million to date to pay for the investigation.
I'd try to do the same if she was my child
However when Maddie needed them most they failed her.
I don't think that they had anything to do with her disappearance except being selfish to have drinks with friends

Are you for real did wrong? They left 3 very young children alone while they went out with friends! As a result one ended up dead or even worse! Do you think if it had been a single mother or a young un married couple they would have been allowed to keep the other 2. Not a hope in hell. It's you should get a grip!. I've made plenty of mistakes, leaving young children in my care alone is not one of them. And I have been on holiday with plenty of Irish people with very young kid's and not once have I ever seen any of them leave their children in the apartment alone, as someone else said they bring them in the buggy and one or both go home when it get's too late. No one will ever know what happened that poor child but I realy hope it was accidental or quick at least and she didnt suffer but the parent's are indirectly responsible because of their negligence. |

Exactly this. I've never encountered anything like that and if I did I'd happily report the parents to the authorities. Im actually shocked that they never faced any action over this, cause I'm pretty sure if it was some wee mum from Poleglass 8nstead of two middle class doctors things would have been VERY differant |

Glad to hear a suspect in the Madeline McCann abduction/murder has finally been found. The McCann's had one momentary lapse in judgment by leaving their children unattended while on vacation, and have been suffering the consequences ever since.
The parents of young children need to be incredibly vigilant, as sickos come in all ages and genders. That charming man or woman who appears to be the very soul of respectability may well be a paedophile who hides in plain sight. |

What would it of cost to hire a local babysitter . They were not poor .
They will live with this guilt for rest of their lives .
According to local news in waterford at 6pm a local woman is writing a book on the case (not sure if she has nacanns permission) apparently this guy was a convicted child abuser . Who confessed to somebody. He is in jail on separate matters in germany .
He was living in the area in portugal up to the day after . His car he changed into someone else's name . Fled in a VW camper and lived in it for some time .
Did he act alone . Will we ever know . The police in germany seem to think shes dead. I do hope they find her .
Are the macanns murders i dont think so .
Did they give someone living nearby by acting in a reckless way i think so . |

No one knows except them or at least one of them. Its utterly bizarre carry on.
Its actually a really interesting study in Human behavior. I think the problem stems from the fact they are doctors.
They have never really shown any real emotion about it. Never come across as been absolutely heart broken, theres a cold ness about them. Perhaps this is do with the fact they are doctors and use to this coldness.
Add in things like going for a jog and playing tennis in the days afterwards, makes them look utterly selfish..
It might not be their fault, just their way of dealing with it unlike the average person.

Just read the report there on this man. They received a letter 2 months later Madeline disappeared and yes they did go and stay at his house but wasnt days after she disappeared. He wasnt outed till after his death, So they didnt know he was a paedophile when they became friends. If the report is true then they had no idea who or what he was. You should do your research first before writing mud.
People grieve in different ways. Just because they were not crying into their tissues doesnt mean they didnt care |

We may never find out what happened on that night but in many ways, the McCanns contributed to the event.
1.They left the children unattended (allegedly sedated)
2. In the immediate aftermath they refused to cooperate with the police - objecting to being treated as suspects. The British media seem to omit this fact when commenting on the lack of progress of the original investigation. See link below

i have to agree. while they did not help their case after it happened they have to live with the fact their failed in their responsibilty as parents. to accuse them of what happened without proof is disgusting but i would not put that past many on here. throwing accusations about others is a common thing here.  |

Mad that all UK paper headlines were about a girl that has been missing for 13 years and has a shady backstory whilst the USA is in a country wide protest for equality.

I have no idea what point you're making but I can guarantee you that if a suspect was arrested in connection with Mary Boyle, Philip Kearns, Annie McCarrick etc, the Irish papers would be all over that and its a lot longer than 13 years. |
