In general, are people rude on here... ?

The forums, in messages, just in general? 
I've noticed it more and more lately.
- with regards to the forum there is certainly an element of people like to disagreeing. Doesn't matter what you can say. People are gonna twist or take the wrong end of the stick.
- with messages or meeting -
The cheer aspect of mailing some is enough to warrant rude behaviour (looking at some of you ladies)
Then there's a lot who want you to bend over backwards. You accommodate them. You send your face pic first. You forfill what they are wanting or piss off. Etc.
Some get in a huff if you say no etc.
All in all just seems to be so much dickish behaviour.
Am I alone? Lol |

The forums people will always disagree some will be on just to stir as well. It is what it is. The more you chat the more people will chat back. Some will like you some won't. Just engage with the ones who you get on with really.
In messages I'm rarely rude even if I get abuse 95per cent of the time I'll just delete.
Don't jump through hoops for anyone. If you don't want to send face pics etc don't. I personally never ask for one but I find if we chat for a while one of us normally sends one anyhow. If someone is rude just move on. You will always get it on a site like this it's up to you how you let it effect you tho. |

Disagreement is awesome. The world would be a very dull place if we all agree all the time. As long as noone gets personally attacked then it's all good. A big range of different opinions is a wonderful thing.
Also, there is no reason to be rude to anyone for no reason.. but if you send a rude message, or attack anyone else, or call anyone names, or exhibit intolerant views towards people different to you.. then you deserve to be taken down a peg or 2 and I will delight in doing so.

Agreed. I find a lot coming from long standing members. I think theres an element of believing they have some sort of higher position on fab, knowing their friend group is there to back them up with the rude/snide comments designed to stir things up but vague enough to play victim.
You'll learn who they are pretty quickly but be aware they're all talking about you in private so offending one means you've offended them all. |

I'd say increasingly boring as opposed to anything else, sending messages whether theres an attraction or not will fizzle out over time.
People are not meeting for obvious reasons and cracks are starting to appear in the desperate ones  |

I think the whole point of a forum is Agree to disagree. It's pretty much for an open discussion so you need both sides otherwise it wouldn't be fun in my opinion!
I can see what your saying also its very clicky'ish at times but I guess I'm just getting used to this site |

You'll also find people who like to think they warrant your time and they can be as obnoxious as they want on the forums and then feel that others are talking about them.
One minute they are all things to all men and agree with every comment and next they are telling everyone they are wrong and need to listen to them.
People are no more rude or nasty on here than they are in real life.
The only difference is that on here they can hide behind a keyboard and pick and choose their targets. |

I wouldn't call it rude, it's more like some people have less tolerance for stupid comments and remarks.
I've rarely looked at a post and thought it was overly rude, however I was called a snowflake on here once for pointing out a blatant double standard |

I can't comment on rude messages simply because I very rarely send messages, therefore get very few back. The forums are different because everyone has an opinion and some people don't care if their comment offends others. I find that in the "real world" people are very rarely openly rude,but on here there's an element of anonymity. That allows them to be rude,smart,bitchy or just plain nasty without having to deal with the recipient face to face. I can picture them at a social or on a meet and they'd be nice as pie. It's very easy to see who the genuine ones are and to avoid the unpleasant ones. And besides, Life's too short to put up with bullshit...so comment when you want to,scroll on when you need to and just enjoy yourself! That's my tuppence worth  |

Sometimes though, messages, whether text or in mail, can be misconstrued and crossed wires and misunderstandings can happen.
But there’s always the one or two who are just bitter people (it’s actually harder to be bitter as you have to keep thinking in the negative all the time), or the condescending type (that means talking down to someone )...
It’s so easy for some to hide behind their keyboard, but they’re probably as quiet as a little Dormouse in real life

Interesting thread. Half the time it isn't worth the hassle replying to threads as people don't read what is said and take it out of context.I have met some wonderful people on here in the chatroom and that outweighs the negative shit |

Yes for the most part I'd find women and couples quite rude on here. I'm always polite in messages, never spam, send anyone multiple messages. Never copy and paste the same message. I always follow the persons wishes for particular subject lines to show I've read the profile. If a woman likes 6ft guys, I dont message that person. I appreciate the volumes women get, so if the message is unread that's fair enough. But if its read without a PFO copied and pasted I find that a little rude. But I'd still never msg the woman saying I'd found it ignorant/rude. I just move on I guess. My 2 cents as they say. |

In regard to rudeness on the forums there seem to be a lot of people who rarely contribute to any threads talking about cliques and bullying but as yet haven't offered any evidence of this and if it is the case and it's as widespread as they suggest they should be reporting to admin.
