I see this is back on RTE this Friday and looking forward to watching it again
Hopefully it hasn't aged too badly against the likes of " Gangs Of London" and its still one of the few things I've ever watched on RTE television. |

It's only repeats if they actually made a new season it would be 1 to watch but typical lazy RTÉ showing repeats from years ago.. That's what 160 a year licence fee is going towards repeats and over inflated wages |

"Have never watched this, maybe I’ll watch the boxset on the RTÉ player
To be honest I've never watched the player but i believe its crap to use "

"Best Irish tv series made ever in our opinion.
But but what about Glenroe
The music on a Sunday night to ruin your weekend after doing no homework "
Well I thought that it was a given that I meant BESIDES Glenroe, lol. |

"Watched it there fully again recently, it's about average now. "
That's what i was wondering alright
My company was used for filming and great excitement altogether
Season one was mainly filmed around where we were based at the time |

Watched it again a few months back and the first two seasons couldn't end fast enough for me. Man I hated that Darren character.
The third season with the IRA story line was by far the best in my opinion with seasons four and five being quite good as well but by the end I'd had enough.
Still though, at the time it was, and I suppose it still is, a decent attempt from RTE. |

Didn't watch any of it until long after it finished. I'd heard all the fuss over it and everyone talking about it so eventually gave in and binge watched it.
It was just ok. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and watched it all the way through but it wouldn't be something I'd be returning to.
A bit like Normal people which I've just watched and I'm mystified how anyone found that interesting, arousing, controversial or enjoyable?
It was one of the most boring, dour non arousing programmes I've ever watched with some of the most obnoxious characters and I include both leads in that too. |
