Sir Henry’s all the way, was known in the clubbing scene across the globe, even mtv did a live show, m people head lining, used to have a vip pass, after parties in the village went on till 10 next morning, still serving away... some stories from those days. Traveled the world and no other club comes even close, with so many rooms... back bar , main room, room 3 , jack plugs, courtyard, village, annex.... gave djs and bands a chance to perform .... it was such a diverse crowd, you don’t see that now, everything is so plastic and fake, there was a reason sweat was called sweat..... everybody be some body....... but thank god the boys fish go deep are still at it, they actually had the longest running residency in Europe

Rather then dress up, you dress down! Greg and Shane are absolute legends to be fair. They really top it on the chance and a Cork legend Roman Anthony. Its a pitty now abut there's slowly some under ground venues coming back like that but just not as big

Youghal

Only got to Sir Henry's once but was too intoxicated so can't say I remember all that much about it.

I know it's not regular night out but some great gigs in City Hall, still remember Therapy playing there, one of the best gigs I've ever seen.

Mr. D.

Nancy Spains was a great spot! You'll have to come back some time it's a totally different place now with some great venues

It actually a shame that they don't host more events like that there! It's the perfect venue and can hold about 2000 or more

An crannóg? Old Bróg was a great spot, the new sanitized version doesn’t hold a candle to it!

I miss the main room and back bar of Henry's.....even walking up the steps you got the inland knight feeling of its going to be a belter.... Greg and Shane with no complaints to make the weak faint..... everybody be somebody, and if it wasn't for the music..... franky knuckles tears to fresh and low little I..

... for the nights of the after parties , in the village if got your way in...was nothing but lotto win to be rocking in the sin.... of what Cork used to have been..... pity for the city cause house music has been for more than you can think..... funny cause it was the home of carling xl...remembering the first time I took a yoke...I was just recalling..... some days

An Bróg back when the floors were still sticky, when the staff were still sound and there was a smell of sex and sweat in the air. I'd give my left nipple to be 18 and go back to the old bróg for just an evening

Cork was great back in the 90’s, I still miss the Liberty bar and Henry’s. God they were great days.

Crane lane now is really great also, but it’s no replacement for the Lib and Henry’s

Haven't been out in Cork City since 99. Flew in from London, got the bus into town to meet mates. Still had my suitcase with me going into Gorby's, the bouncers let me in with it
