Ya I know I met my aunt during the week and we did the same. And one of the girls we had literally just sat down on a wall and the heavens opened so didn't last long. |

"Who’s drinking coffee? because I’m buying
But McDonald's is closed
Whoah ! What? No more chicken nuggets "
It's ok when they reopen chicken nuggets will be on their menu
50 % of everything else wont ...just the basics is the new menu |

"It's funny how it's okay to bump into someone you know and have a chat at a distance but arranging to meet someone (fab or non fab) while keeping the same distance is frowned upon. "
Not frowning on it just wondering what peoples thoughts are. I know for me I've have struggled not been able to sit and chat to friends and miss the social side of work and getting out of house. Working from home at 4am is shockingly lonely |

Oh not you. I just keep seeing the holiest of the holy screaming "don't go outside, don't drive, don't meet anyone, don't go to the park" |

Sooner see people outside in the parks or gardens. The virus is not just going to up and leave. We are in this for the long haul and we will have to adapt to how we live how we spend time and the mental health of people is so important more so now as a lot of peoples contacts and social circle has been decimated |

I've just filled up with diesel and in the petrol station also bought a coffee like i do every day driving to work.
I say hello to people i know and stay apart to talk outside at the car
I've also parked beside someone and we've chatted through open windows not off here just people I know
Its the new normal for a hell of a lot of people

I will be having a socially distant walk with various Fab friends when Coilte open the parking in the woods and when you are allowed to meet friends. There won't be any funny business but it will be nice to catch up with them from a distance. |

People are going to have to start going out soon. They will anyhow I'd say anyhow especially once the lockdown eases a bit it has been very tough for some people.
I know personally I won't be doing any new meets off here anytime soon tho mainly due to my work and my own personal reasons.
This is in for the long haul and it will be up to everyone to make up their own minds about what they want to do. Everyone is an adult on here after all. |

I had to go into Derry city centre the other morning and had considered putting a status up about a social distant chat and hello if anyone was free. Fab could have still seen it as a meet attempt though, so hard to know if it's a rule breaker or not |

Looks like it. I have had plenty of practice as most mine coffee meets have been socially distant |

I think this will be the new norm after lockdown. The virus is not going anywhere fast. So as long as safe practices are followed this will be the new society. It will be down to personal choice from here on in i think |

"At the moment i would not class meeting a man you met on a swingers site as essential travel whether you were tempted or not."
First off no mention of been tempted and or essential travel either. And not meeting anyone from here was just asking opinions has other people have said they have had social distance coffee meets |

"Yay or nay?
Just curious as have seen it said people have met strangers for a social distancing coffee?
"
Could be done. Had a mate chill at the end of my garden and talk as he was walking by. He brought some beers and I had some in my house. All was good. And common sense was used. I don't see why not sure |

As long as the meet was local and didn't involve travel then I can't see anything wrong with a social distanced coffee and chat if each brought their own coffee, we are all going to have to get used to meeting people, socially or in work and keep a social distance while communicating |

I got the impression lot of people leaving the house. Or having people over. Next door to be has a constant stream of people coming in and out. I go to the shop or call to my parents , exercising and working at home. Restrictions are supposed to be eased from the 18th here. I think if it's not lifted to some little bit people will start to rebel completely |

Totally get it. And as you say lot easier to sit at home nowadays think people just fed up seeing other people not follow the guidelines with no repercussions. Even I'm getting annoyed with my neighbours having people constantly in and out. |

I’ve met a couple of people for a coffee at local petrol stations. Go in grab a coffee and sit in our own cars having a yarn. It’s the little things in life |

Lifting a lockdown will not make any difference really as everyone will still have to adhere to social distancing rules and take exactly the same precautions and risks when in contact with other people. Be it shops, work or family.
This is not going anywhere any time soon and all of us will have to just learn to live with it until it's over.
Whole world can't remain in complete lockdown forever. |
