"Warm weather, extra time on my hands has definitely got me feeling a little frustrated. How long will people abide with this lockdown before they take a chance?"
Some people have already.
Then again some people fuck strangers with no condoms or drink and drive etc... |

We had two similar threads on which the situation has been discussed quite amicably, I don't know why this one gets more aggressive replies. We're still allowed to be horny and express it, aren't we? |

We are allowed to feel our own frustrations without it taking away from tragedy going on in other people's lives. People die every day, it's not a new phenomenon. |

Well the government did actually set out advice on this subject, they said they didn't expect people to stop all sexual encounters but just to be as careful as possible. Like only having one sexual partner during lockdown, or both people isolating before meeting to reduce the risk. |

You didn't give an answer
You made a statement
An no one can give an answer as no one actually knows when it would be safe to meet people and be able to interact with other people again
No one should be made to feel guilty for being sexually frustrated, sexual frustration is apart of our human makeup
And being sexually frustrated does not mean that a person is being disrespectable to anyone who are dealing with the grief of losing family/friends to the virus
It doesn't make a person a bad person to have frustrations |

The OP asked how long people would abide by the government guidelines before meeting.
I answered by saying some have already met.
I never once said the OP had or was looking to meet.
I think people who have are placing their own sexual wants above the greater public health situation and I used unprotected sex and drink driving as comparisons which I stand by.

It's a figure of speech, I for one didn't think the OP was implying that death was imminent if they didn't get laid. |

They actually said they do expect people not to have sex outside their household for the lockdown. They just gave guidelines for reducing risk because they know some people will ignore the recommendations.
I've quoted the relevant line off the HSE below
"While the current advice is not to have sex with or kiss anyone outside of your household, if you do, it is important to limit it to as few partners as possible. Remember close sexual contact with anyone you are not living with can put you and others at risk of coronavirus. Use condomsand dental dams to reduce contact with saliva or faeces, especially during oral or anal sex and avoid rimming (mouth on anus) as it might spread coronavirus." |
