To our ancient Celtic ancestors it heralded the arrival of summer. Those of us who know and love tue Irish summer don't cast a clout til May is out. |

Some people enjoy and involve themselves in the rituals and symbolism of nature that May Day represents.
However, as I imagine you know, May Day is also International Labour Day where workers rights are celebrated. And that is what I acknowledge on May Day. Workers rights in place of workers exploitation, historically and now. This is not something to be taken for granted in my opinion.
