I sincerely hope we don't have to wait until next year and the availability of a vaccine. The country will be in tatters

People are less and less compliant by the day. The roads locally were very busy today compared to last week. People have limits and the general public is nearly there I’d say two more weeks is all people will comply with. Alot of the self employed are back at work this week so things will start back from the 5th but slowly

Herd immunity is the only way to squash this forever ... the only thing is people we have to except some death for life to continue ... what’s more important?

Years of isolation and fear and gradual consistent deaths ... or death but progression

Easy decision.

I'm glad you find it am easy decision. It's a horrible and horrific way for people to die and for the people who are caring for them and watching it happen. So no it's not an easy decision for most but as long as it's not you then I guess that's okay.

Here's one for you, caught me by surprise having seen someone post online about it, I can post the link its from the Physicians Weekly, what appears to be a reliable source of information.

Outside of the vulnerable age group and health conditions such as cancer and heart conditions.

Obesity is the main reason people are ending up in ICU and potentially dying under the age of 60.

I can post the link if required but even a quick google of covid-19 and obesity it seems very obvious.

I dont believe you. You'd except death so other people dont have to learn to budget better and can go to the pub? Sounds a rediculous statement to me.

Obviously theres more too it. Which is an easier life, temperary isolation and fear as you said, or knowing that you went in public during a pandemic, which directly caused in the horrific and painful death of your parent/child.

Maybe I'm lucky that my job was deemed essential so I'm still kept busy with work, but isolation cant be that bad is it?

Dublin west

We have to adapt to cope with all that is going on around us.

Will be easier for some than others but where there is a will people will find a way.

This is not going away any time soon.

Things have to go back to normal soon, or there will be a lot more dying around the world with other issues.
