If the restrictions are eased gradually when will people meet again ?

This is not going away until there is a vaccine, the best they can do is manage it until then and continue whatever precautions are necessary to stay below the magic no1. They may lift restrictions if things are going well but social distancing and proper hygiene are here for good. Will end up being a personal choice weather you want to meet or not when restrictions are lifted but with social distancing still being a factor and it could draw unwanted attention to these sort of sites very easily if meets are happening when social distancing is meant to be observed on an ongoing basis....something else to bare in mind as if we didnt have enough already  |

You also need to think of the longterm financial implications of this, its not sustainable both the covid payment and the lack of cash for currently closed businesses such as pubs and restaurants.

I agree long term it’s not sustainable, I know friends in Italy and Spain don’t get the €350 help so at least it’s better than nothing. I Think it’s better keeping the lockdown as long as possible now, things would be a lot worse if restrictions were lifted and another outbreak occurs and another lockdown is required in a few months. As tough as it is now I hope it’s extended another while.
I’d hate to unknowingly contract the virus at work or in a gym etc and unknowingly pass it to my parents who wouldn’t survive on it. |

Unless you’re Nostradamus then who knows? Things can change quite quickly. A vaccine could be found a lot sooner than is being said. There are any amount of doom mongers out there who will tell us lockdown is going to continue for months on end, etc. Ignore them, listen to health experts and professionals instead. We’re not out of the woods but we are very much heading in the right direction.
Anyway, no doubt the ones who gambled on their health and the health of others by meeting even after the initial restrictions will be the first to let us know they’ve started meeting again! |
