I was to get my routine check up this month which is Cleary not deemed an emergency during this time. I still want to keep this routine and get tested as normal So I've been wondering are the home kits worth the buy and if so whats the best site to purchase from.

I'd imagine if you're going to be close enough to strangers to catch an STI, its probably the least of your worries at the moment.
I am impressed at you regularly being tested though, more people should do it. |

The sh24 test up here is great you just ask them to send you one they post it out you do the swabs and a pin prick blood test and post it back the results are back within a week normally. I don't know if there is similiar down south tho. |

Finger pin prick got me queezy when I ordered mine - you have to seriously work hard to fill (quite a large) container with blood, having to prick your fingers multiple times. Not for faint hearted or anyone who's afraid of needles.
Otherwise service is great, free and fast |

I ended up not doing it (shit scared of needles and while I'm quite used to giving blood from my vein, pricking fingers does send me into overdrive).
Dirk called me a drama queen and pricked his own finger to prove the point and to show how easy it is, 3 drops of blood came out, he pricked another finger, from watching him do it, my stomach tied itself into a knot and I spent 30mins sitting on the kitchen floor hyperventilating and refusing to cook dinner

I've done that 'SH:24' test kit as well and am not ashamed to admit that, having botched the first attempt at the blood test, I needed the better part of an hour to prick another finger
However, don't even get me started on the size of the tube you have to try and pee in! |
