Something different to have a think about.

My favourite films of all time are by Steven Spielberg and I usually went a few times on my own every summer to see his latest film.

ET is my favorite because of the whole idea of it and it was before CGI took over in every scene so every shot was a special effect.

My favorite ever scene funny enough still makes me cry ...its when Elliot is saying sorry to ET for not keeping him alive while ET is dead in the refrigerated box. Then as he closes the lid we see the red heart beat...

The music by John Williams is incredible is nearly all his films also

So whats your favorite....the early blockbusters or the later more adult themed movies that he makes

'Jaws' is one of my favourite films altogether

Robert Shaw's "USS Indianapolis" speech is as chilling as it is incredible.

I have to agree with you both. ET and Jaws two of my all time favourites. I liked Avatar too I think Spielberg directed that too.

As good as all the above are I don't think any of them come close to equalling Raiders of the Lost Ark for pure escapism and adventure.

I think you'll find that the Back to the future movies were Robert Zemeckis and not Spielberg but great movies anyway..

Movies and music are my thing and then one day while in work at a gig a little man with a beard and baseball cap asked me for directions.

It was Steven Spielberg with Daniel Day Lewis and I just brought him backstage and never said thanks for everything.

One of my few regrets in life

It's a pity he retired you could have allowed him to play Kaizer in the film that will surely be made about you....thinking of the title will be a whole different thread

And all ad libbed on the day of the shoot

Harrison Ford wanted to hit the toilet suffering from diarrhoea so instead of fighting the guy ...pulled out the gun and shot him and Spielberg changed it
