Loughlinstown

Over the last few weeks, I come to appreciate

things differently and more in life like exercise,

people serving me at the local supermarket, etc

...but what are some of the things you miss about

physically meeting people on FAB?

Even the simple things here...

For me, I loved walking from my car to a cafe

or pub to met someone for the very first time...

Just the simple excitement of that!

I also loved swapping a few FAB & swing stories

over a drink with a fellow Fabber that you'd rather

not chat about with your vanilla friends

Ahhh so many good mammaries!

Somewhere in Co. Down

The excitement and anticipation of getting ready to meet them. Then of course the getting to know them.

The intimacy and excitement when it's someone you meet regular I miss that and the face to face chats and laughs you have. It's not the same texting or chatting on the phone.

I've always been more than capable of supporting others if and when they need it but not so good at reaching out if and when I'm in a similar position.

These last few weeks I've come to appreciate the value of friendship and shared burdens.

In regard to what I miss it's the complete lack of physical contact and the simple things like being able to flirt without using an emoji.

It's very important not to neglect oneself and reach out. It's great that you did, without good friends, i simply wouldn't survive in this crazy world.

The last few weeks I've appreciated the slow down, hasn't been the best timing as after actually saying hold on I'm in bother, I could do with some support.

The world stopped but I've realized their are people who genuinely care, it has made me realize how much of myself I've hated and hidden just to please others, not to annoy people and to fit it.

I'm a giver and a hugger and will continue to be, I've always felt its who is in our lives is important not what and hopefully other people will realise that too.

I appreciate how short life is and that I have missed out on a lot of things and look forward to having the chance to change that.
